Statement
In our second year as a charity, we had a runner in the Great North Run who raised awareness of our charity with people who donated. This raised £1006 total.
Katherine Heason (trustee) and volunteer Julie McCormack recorded a podcast with Al Coates on the “Adoption and Fostering Podcast”. This was released in December 2023 (https://adoptionandfostering.podbean.com/?s=sassi). Both the GNR and Podcast brought new members and interest in the work of SASSI. With people as far as Canada getting in touch to ask more about SASSI.
SASSI offered numerous meet ups including local shopping centres, parks and adventure gardens. We also offered online meetings to offer advice around DLA applications as well as supported 2 members to complete applications and successfully gain DLA.
The Whatsapp community was still used within different themes of general chat, teenagers, schools and financial support.
Financial Statement
We started the year with £101 from Donations from the Great North Run in September 2022. Donations continued to come in, during this financial year, to the value of £905.
With only £22 worth of costs, we ended the year with £984.
