Overview of Activities: During the past year, Children with Diabetes and their Parents Wellness Foundation faced several operational challenges common to newly established charities. Our primary aim remains to provide emotional support and promote the health and welfare of individuals affected by diabetes, particularly Type 1 diabetes, and their carers.
Challenges and Achievements: The charity faced significant initial hurdles, including difficulties in securing an official charity bank account and the recruitment of new, independent Trustees. These challenges have impacted our ability to commence full-scale fundraising activities and fully operationalize our planned initiatives.
Despite these obstacles, Trustees invested valuable time voluntarily to establish our digital presence. We successfully set up the official charity website and created essential content, focusing on emotional resilience building, and healthy living practices. This content is poised to support our beneficiaries effectively as soon as operational funding and governance are firmly established.
Future Focus: In the coming year, we have clear priorities:

Recruitment of independent Trustees to enhance governance, diversity, and expertise within our charity.

Establishment of a charity bank account, which will enable us to accept donations, manage finances transparently, and initiate active fundraising.

Launching fundraising campaigns and activities to actively engage with our target communities and supporters.
We remain committed to our mission, confident that the groundwork laid in this reporting period positions us well for future growth and meaningful impact.
