Para 1.17 and 1.19	Our main activities have focused on connecting with people in Bath and North East Somerset to support their engagement in positive actions that mitigate against and adapt to the climate and ecological crises. These activities have included information sharing, practical workshops and projects, seminars, creative opportunities and support to help people deal with climate distress. We engage with individual members of the public and work collaboratively with partner organisations.

Contribution made by volunteers	Para 1.38	We have been supported in our activities by a host of volunteers, including ad-hoc support with specific matters and many volunteers who have helped regularly with our outreach and engagement events. Over the period we have been supported by 40 volunteers.

Achievements and Performance

Para 1.20	Between 05 December 2022 and 31 March 2024 we have: 1,500 people directly engaged; 241 people on our mailing list; 40 volunteers providing support 33 partners working collaboratively 17 engagement events; 4 radio interviews. Our engagement events and other activities have enabled us to engage with a large number of people, sharing information about different aspects of climate and biodiversity, and supporting people to engage in positive ways to reduce their carbon footprint, and support nature and biodiversity. People have benefitted by being able to take away information we or partner organisations have shared; to have 1-2-1 conversations and ask questions about aspects of climate change and environmental concerns, to try out plant-based food and to enjoy time making nature-based crafts. We also held a climate café providing a safe space for people to share their concerns and anxieties around the climate crisis. Examples of the feedback we have received are given below:

upcycling / recycling clothes

• Campaigns to support;
• Time and space for 1-2-1
conversations.
We share space wherever possible with
other environmentally-focussed groups.
For example, at our Springtime
Assembly held at the National Trust
Assembly Rooms in March 2024, we
were able to share the space with 12
other organisations – enabling people to
engage with a range of local
organisations on a variety of climate,
ecological issuers and sustainable
living.

		progress organisational aims which will help us to develop what we are able to offer to people in Bath and North East Somerset. These included: • winning a competition to develop a website; • receiving funding to enable us to recruit a paid worker to support our development; • continuing our search for central premises which will enable us to establish a more permanent presence in Bath. These tasks are in hand and ongoing into the following financial year.

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period	Para 1.21	Our financial position is substantially stronger at the end of the period than expected due to a large and transformative donation from the PAR Charitable Trust. Our income for the year has been in excess of £67,000; our expenditure has been £6,217 of which running costs have consumed slightly less than £3000. We end the year with tangible assets worth £1,362 and cash in the bank of £61,000.

A description of the principal risks facing the charity	Para 1.46	As we have grown, we have taken on a small number of monthly overheads. By far, the largest of these is the hiring of a Development and Project Coordinator. We have sufficient funds to cover this cost for in excess of 12 months even if we are unable to obtain any fresh grants or donations. Hence, at present, we consider this a low risk exposure.
