## **Summary of Activities**

## **Youth Football**

Youth Football continues to be a very successful arm of the club. Spearheaded by Hayley Chapman during this period, we have seen growth in quanitity of players and teams. Most youth teams have trained at Four Dwellings Academy and played at Bournville Recreation Ground as part of the Central Warwickshire Youth League.

There have been numerous footballing successes with teams winning league cups, league titles and tournaments throughout the period. Youth teams have good success with gaining sponsorship for their team and the club further enhancing the opportunities we can offer our young players.

Although our tie with the Central Warwickshire Youth League ends at U16, we have developed our sides further and are pleased to see our U16 moving through to our U18s side throughout the season as and when this is appropriate.

## **Development Football**

Our development football as progressed during this period. Initially we had just an U18s side playing in Midland Junior Premier League, headed up by Kwabena Danquah. After one season of this we then developed this further with out U18s transferring to an U21s side in the Midland Football League, again headed up by Kwabena Danquah and Liam Cronin taking over our U18 side. Over this period the manager have developed fantastic rapport and players move between the teams as appropriate.

## **Adult Football**

Adult Football has been a staple at the Bournville Recreation Ground during this period.

We started this period with Oliver Hartill as manager but as Ollie made the decision to pursue other opportunities, we had to recruit for a new first team manager. This process resulted in the appointment of Daniel Moses who also bought with him his own back room team.

We have remained in Step 7, as part of the Midland Football League, during this period as we have not been in a position for promotion either through footballing or ground requirements.

Home games have been popular with the community and groundhoppers brining in a good level of income thanks to gate receipts, match day cafe takings, match day programmes and memorabilia.

There has been a plethora of players during this period - it is good to still have people wanting to play for Cadbury Athletic Football Club because of the reputation we hold in the footballing community.

## **Community Football**

We have also developed a community football programme during this period with walking football, headed up by Darren Pickering. The team was bought over from a pub team and they played in the walking football league in Coleshill. This was a successful branch of the club meaning that we can offer footballing opportunities for all age groups and levels of experience.

## **Future Plans**

We continue to want to develop the footballing club and make it even more of a footballing hub in the community than it already is. Over the next few seasons we aim to do the following:

- Introduce girls’ football, including entering a team into a league at youth level. We will then expand this further into older teams and eventually a women’s team to run alongside our men’s team.

- Further enhance our community offering, introducing a ‘min-kicker’s’ programme for 4-6 year olds which would then feed into our Under 7s team when we recruit in the off-season.

- Source a venue for our First Team that has the ground requirements for promotion into Step 6. This would mean the First Team moving away from the recreation ground, opening up more opportunities for our U21s and U18s.

- Develop our trusteeship to ensure more diversity, particularly women and people of different ethnicities.

We are always looking for opportunities to form community partnerships to ensure our offer to the local community of Bournville and indeed the wider community of Birmingham is the best it can be.
