## **Trustees’ Annual Report for the Charlie Kristensen Foundation** 

## **Financial Period: 29th November 2022 – 5th April 2024** 

The Trustees of the Charlie Kristensen Foundation confirm that, during the financial period from 29th November 2022 to 5th April 2024, the Foundation did not undertake any financial transactions, receive income, or incur expenditure. As a result, no financial statements are due for filing for this period. 

## Governance and Development Activities 

While no financial activity took place during this time, significant progress was made in establishing and strengthening the Foundation’s governance and strategic direction. Key developments include: 

- Board Expansion: We successfully recruited three new Trustees, bringing a range of expertise and experience to the Foundation. This expansion has strengthened our governance capacity and broadened the skills available to support our charitable objectives. 

- Trustee Training and Development: In September 2023, the Board undertook a dedicated Away Day focused on training, strategic development, and team-building. This session allowed the Trustees to define a clear vision for the Foundation’s future activities and to ensure alignment with our core mission and values. 

- Structured Governance and Strategic Planning: The Board now meets on a monthly basis, ensuring a proactive and engaged approach to governance. These meetings are focused on implementing clear strategic goals, including fundraising strategies, partnership development, and the establishment of our first programme of activities. 

## Compliance Statement 

Under the Charities Act 2011, registered charities that do not engage in financial activity within a given financial period are not required to submit annual financial accounts. The Foundation is fully compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements and remains committed to transparency and good governance. As we move forward into an active financial period, the Trustees will ensure that all necessary financial reports and filings are completed in accordance with charity regulations. 

## Looking Ahead 

With a strengthened Board and a clear strategic vision, the Charlie Kristensen Foundation is now well-positioned to begin delivering its charitable objectives. Over the coming year, we will focus on launching our first initiatives, engaging with key stakeholders, and securing the necessary funding to support our work.
