Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	Marchwood Men’s Shed has provided a setting for (typically older) members of the community to come together and socialise, share skills and create, providing great mental health benefits to its members. The projects completed have largely been focussed on benefitting the wider community including: • Bird boxes were created that were painted by the local schools and installed as a digital trail around the village. Children are able to follow the trail to find ‘their own’ birdbox. Over 1600 views of the trail. • Planters created and maintained for the Welcome to Marchwood signs, benefitting the whole village including visitors. • Outdoor library and foodbank created for local preschool. • Storage unit built for local Church. • Signage to promote Rotary Club’s ‘Purple4Polio’ local crocus planting event.
