**Objects:** TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF COPMANTHORPE AND DISTRICT, YORK, THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.

**Activities:** The Charity provides and maintains a sports ground and children's play facility. The premises include a sports hall, bar, changing rooms, sports field, tennis courts & bowling green. The facilities are designed for use by sports clubs, but are available for informal public recreation when not in use by clubs.  The Charity also runs Copmanthorpe Carnival, a fund raising event.
