02H Flnancial Reporting statement to Charity Commisslon as atJuly31" 2024
From its inception, in about 2002 until receiving independent charitable status as a
CIO in September 2022 Opportunityto Hope102HI was a working title within a
broader charitable trust. Latterly this was Global Hori20ns Trust la registered charity
in Engiarid and Wales, Charity Number 1107553). Throughout this time 02H was
managed by a sub-committee ofGlobal Horizons Trust and this was within the aims
and objects of Global Horizons Trust.
Transitional Period:
After 02H received independent charitable status as a Charitable Incorporated
Organisation (CIO) in September 2022. it faced significant barriers to openinga bank
account. These isSLtes were only resolved in January 2024. Due to this delay. from
September 2022 until January 2024. 02H continued to rely on Global Horizons Trust
for financial support and administration. Consequently, all financial records and
reports for 02H during this transitional period are embedded within the financial
records of Global Horizons Trust.
Financi81 Reporting Moving Forward:
With the establishment ofan independent bank account in January 2024. 02H is
now fully financially autonomous. From this point forward, we have implemented
appropriate financial management systems to ensure accurate and independent
record-keeping. We are committed to preparing and submitting annual financial
reports to the Charity Commission, with the first independent financial reporting
due after financialyear end131" December 2024).
