Hyndburn Food Pantry
Trustee Report For The Year Ended 31 October 2024
Overview
The Trustees of the Hyndburn Food Pantry present their financial statements for the year
ended 31 October 2024 and confirm they comply with the Charities Act 2011.
The aim of the Hyndburn Food Pantry is to provide food and hygiene provisions for the community of Hyndburn inclusively, without judgement. It also provides a warm, safe environment for all to be able to socialise and interact.
Review of Business
The Trustees are pleased with the results for the financial year.
Continual review and a proactive approach to generating income and managing costs have been vital to ensure that we can continue to offer this much needed service to the community.
Throughout the year there has been growth and diversity in the members and as such the range of goods we offer has widened so that we can meet these needs.
We have installed a new IT software system to improve the efficiency of data held and the timely manner of customers visits to the Pantry.
The view for the coming year is to work on increasing the service that our users benefit from by visiting the Food Pantry and reducing the stigma of entering a food provision provider. This is being done through educational streams on food poverty, needs of the community and widening the range of internal interactions made with the users.
