The trustees present their report and financial statement for the year ended 31/05/2023 

Hesketh ane Church L (HLC) is a Charitable Incorporated rganisation was O registered with the Charity Commission on the 15 oN vember 2022. 

## **Objectives and activities** 

The advancement of the Christian Faith in such a way as the Charity Trustees may from time to time decide. 

HLC principal actives are: 

The Church meets each Sunday for worship, teaching and ministry. We welcome all people to come to our services whether they are Christians or others who are exploring what faith in the ord esus meansL J . Other actives: Weekly prayer meetings, iB ble study meetings to support other charitable mission organisations. 

HLC supports a number of Christian charities with financial assistance from the charity’s own donated income: pen oors, SO D ASRA, iB ble Society and International idA . 

HLC participates in any local Churches Together events in the community, and attends local clergy meetings. 

HLC Trustees meet regularly to review the effective management of the Church, all trustee meetings are minuted and are accountable as to the actions taken. 

To facilitate this work, it is important that we maintain the fabric of the building. HLC does not own the Church uildingb . The Church uilding is onb a lease agreement with, The trustees of The GBA Services td irectors L D Pension Fund 

HLC is at present going through the process of eing affiliated to the b Free Methodist Church of the UK.

HLC CIO is a Charitable Incorporated rganisation goO verned y the b Constitution dated 15 oN vember 2022. The Trustees who served during the year and up to date of the financial statement are:

The Church is managed y the ab bove Trustee Team and is done so on a completely oluntary asisv b . The Church does not employ any persons. 

The Trustees retain responsibility for legal matters pertaining to the Charity.

The Trustees are responsible for the preparing the Trustees eport and R the financial statement with applicable law and eneral ccepted G A Accounting racticeP . 

The aw applicaL ble to charities in ngland and Wales reE quires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which gives a true and fair indication of the state of affairs of the charity and the income resource and application of resource of that charity year. 

In preparing these financial statements the trustees are required to: 

- select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; 

- observe the methods and principles in the Charites SORP (Statement of ecommended ractiseR P ). 

- make udgements and estimates that are reasonaj ble and prudent; 

- state whether applicable accounting standards have een followed, b subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements. 

The Trustees are responsible for eeping sufficient records, which can e k b examined at any time, that disclose with reasonable accuracy the financial position compliant with the Charites ct 20A 11 the Charity (Accounts and Report) egulation 200R 8. They are also responsible for the safeguarding 



the assets of the charity and hence taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. 

HLC ecords all offeringR /gifts give through the ift id scheme, compliant G A with MH RC requirements.

As such, after scrutiny of the ccounts, the Trustees consider them to e A b a true and fair iew of the financial activ vity of the Charity for the period ending 31/05/2023. 

As the Church does not own any property and has no paid employees, there are no ssets or iaA L bilities to report at the year end. L ki ewise, esH keth ane Church has not entered into any egal uarantee,L L G nor has any eD bt een secured y a egal Chargeb b L . 

As the Charity only ecame operational on 0b 1/06/2023, there is ery little v Income  & Expenditure to report since the inception on 15/11/2022.
