## **Achievements and Performance**

||SORP reference||
|---|---|---|
|Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.|Para 1.20|Having previously delivered several
thousand pounds worth of life-saving
equipment to Neonatal Intensive Care Units
(NICUs) in Kharkiv and Mykolaiv, we
maintain regular contact with the colleagues
to jointly carry out needs assessments and
plan our activity accordingly. Over the 2023-
2024 period, we found the situation with
supplies and equipment in Ukraine to be
satisfactory. We therefore did not actively
engage in raising funds and held financial
reserves to ensure that the charity can
continue to support babies treated in
Ukrainian NICUs as their needs arise.|

## **Financial Review**

Review of the charity’s

Para 1.21

As of the end of the 2023-2024 reporting

|financial position at the end
of the period||period, the charity’s financial position
remains stable and secure.
The charity has no outstanding debts or
significant financial commitments that could
impact its financial stability.|
|---|---|---|
|Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held|Para 1.22|The primary reason for holding reserves is to
ensure that the charity can continue to
support neonatal intensive care units
(NICUs) in Ukraine as their needs arise.
During the 2023-2024 period, the charity
raised more funds than were necessary to
meet the immediate needs for supplies and
equipment. The surplus funds have been set
aside as reserves to be used in future
periods.|
|Amount of reserves held|Para 1.22|Remaining funds: £425
These reserves will be allocated to
purchasing supplies and equipment based
on the evolving needs of our Ukrainian
colleagues. The charity maintains regular
contact with NICUs in Ukraine to monitor
their requirements. As new needs are
identified, the reserves from 2023-2024 will
be combined with future fundraising efforts.|
|Reasons for holding zero
reserves|Para 1.22|n/a|
|Details of fund materially in
deficit|Para 1.24|n/a|
|Explanation of any
uncertainties about the
charity continuing as a going
concern|Para 1.23|The trustees have identified no uncertainties
about the charity's ability to continue as a
going concern.
During the 2023-2024 period, the charity
experienced a reduction in turnover
compared to the previous years. This
decrease is attributed to the charity’s specific
mission to support neonatal intensive care
units (NICUs) affected by the humanitarian
crisis in Ukraine. As the situation in these
NICUs temporarily improved, their
immediate needs decreased, resulting in a
lower requirement for funds and a reduced
volume of equipment purchases and
supplies during this period.
The trustees maintain regular contact with
NICUs in Ukraine to monitor their needs
continuously. This allows the charity to
respond promptly and effectively as the
situation evolves, ensuring that resources
are allocated efficiently and according to the
most current needs.
Based on the ongoing monitoring and the
current financial position, the trustees have a
reasonable expectation that the charity will
have adequate resources to continue
operating for the foreseeable future.|
