During the 2023-2024 period, the charity
experienced a reduction in turnover
compared to the previous years. This
decrease is attributed to the charity’s specific
mission to support neonatal intensive care
units (NICUs) affected by the humanitarian
crisis in Ukraine. As the situation in these
NICUs temporarily improved, their
immediate needs decreased, resulting in a
lower requirement for funds and a reduced
volume of equipment purchases and
supplies during this period.
The trustees maintain regular contact with
NICUs in Ukraine to monitor their needs
continuously. This allows the charity to
respond promptly and effectively as the
situation evolves, ensuring that resources
are allocated efficiently and according to the
most current needs.
Based on the ongoing monitoring and the
current financial position, the trustees have a
reasonable expectation that the charity will
have adequate resources to continue

**Eligibility for trusteeship**
(a) Every charity trustee must be a natural
person.
(b) No individual may be appointed as a

(c) No one is entitled to act as a charity

**Number of charity trustees**
(a) There must be at least two charity
trustees. If the number falls below this
minimum, the remaining trustee or trustees
may act only to call a meeting of the charity
trustees, or appoint a new charity trustee.
(b) There is no maximum number of charity
trustees that may be appointed to the CIO.
(4) First charity trustees
The first charity trustees are as follows, and
are appointed for the following terms –

**Appointment of charity trustees**
(1) Apart from the first charity trustees, every
trustee must be appointed for a term of three
years by a resolution passed at a properly
convened meeting of the charity trustees.
(2) In selecting individuals for appointment
as charity trustees, the charity trustees must
have regard to the skills, knowledge and
experience needed for the effective
