**Mayeen Foundation Trust Trustee’s Report and Financial Statements For the period 31 October 2024 to 31 October 2025**
The Trustees present the annual report and financial statements of the Charity for the period 31 October 2024 to 31 October 2025. The financial statements comply with current statutory requirements and the requirements of the Charity’s governing document. The financial results are set out in the enclosed accounts.
## **Objectives and Activities**
The prevention or relief of poverty in Bangladesh by providing: Grants, Items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.
## **Public Benefit Statement**
The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit when planning and carrying out the charity's activities. The trustees are satisfied that the charity's activities during the period furthered its charitable purposes for the public benefit.
## **Achievements and Performance**
During the year, the charity continued to further its charitable objectives through the provision of financial and other support to relieve poverty in Bangladesh. The charity incurred charitable expenditure of £7,285 during the year in furtherance of these objectives. The trustees are satisfied that the activities undertaken were consistent with the charity's purposes and provided public benefit.
## **Review of the financial position**
The financial results of the charity for the period 31 October 2024 to 31 October 2025, are fully reflected in the attached financial statements together with the notes thereon. Total Income £8,557. Total resources expended was £7,285 resulting in net income of £1,272. On 31 October 2025, the charity has total funds of £3,002.
## **Reserves Policy**
The trustees aim to maintain an appropriate level of unrestricted reserves to provide sufficient working capital and enable the charity to respond to unforeseen expenditure and fluctuations in income. The charity had unrestricted funds of £3,002 as at 31 October 2025. The trustees continue to monitor the charity's financial position and, since the reporting date, unrestricted reserves have increased. The trustees will keep the appropriate level of reserves under regular review as the charity's activities develop.

The Charity has been setup as a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) and is governed by a Constitution.

## **1. Basis of preparation**
## **1.1 Basis of accounting**
These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant note(s) to these accounts. The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued on 16 July 2014, and with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and with the Charities Act 2011.
## **1.2 Going concern**
At the time of approving the Financial Statements, the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus, the Trustees continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the Financial Statements.
## **2. Accounting policies**
## **2.1 Income recognition**
Income is recognised when the charity has entitlement to the funds, any performance conditions attached to the income have been met, it is probable that the income will be received, and the amount can be measured reliably.
## **2.2 Tax reclaims on donations and gifts**
Gift Aid receivable is included in income when there is a valid declaration from the donor. Any Gift Aid amount recovered on a donation is considered to be part of that gift and is treated as an addition to the same fund as the initial donation unless the donor or the terms of the appeal have specified otherwise.
## **2.3 Donated services and facilities**
Donated services and facilities are included in the SOFA when received at the value of the gift to the charity provided the value of the gift can be measured reliably. Donated services and facilities that are consumed immediately are recognised as income with an equivalent amount recognised as an expense under the appropriate heading in the SOFA.
