|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|<br>Family Learning to support adults<br>improve basic skills<br><br>Cooking from Scratch sessions,<br>including budgeting, to help adults learn<br>to make cost effective, healthy<br>nutritious meals.<br><br>Eco-Uniform Scheme, the recycling of<br>school uniform appears to have<br>reduced the stigma associated with<br>second hand clothes. The Eco-uniform<br>scheme is now run by a volunteers<br><br>Citizen’s Advice Frontline providing<br>immediate advice, support and<br>signposting for families.<br><br>Community Allotment and Garden to<br>help families to experience first-hand<br>the benefits of growing their own<br>produce. It promotes a healthy lifestyle<br>through exercise, which results in<br>improved mental health, and also the<br>outcome of more tasty vegetables at a<br>fraction of the cost. This is now<br>promoted by social prescribers from<br>two GP practices in Blyth.<br><br>Local Councillors surgeries and<br>consultations on the local area.<br>From the 10 adults who attended family<br>learning sessions over the year, over half of<br>the group have improved the life chances<br>for themselves and their families through<br>gaining employment.|





The community spirit and friendships that have developed between individuals resulting in less isolation and new friendships being evident. A sense of purpose and increased confidence in individuals who now believe in themselves.
