The charity is managed by a board of trustees who are responsible for its leadership, management, and financial supervision. The trustees meet regularly to plan activities and review the charity’s progress. we work as a voluntary community group supporting members of the Sudanese community in Swindon.
The main aim of the charity is to bring the Sudanese community together and promote a strong sense of belonging, cultural pride, and mutual support. There are simplified into Celebrate and preserve Sudanese culture and traditions, Promote community spirit, inclusion, and wellbeing and to Provide a welcoming space where members can meet, share experiences, and support each other.
Activities and Achievements
During the year, the Association organised several successful community activities, including:

Ramadan Breakfasts: Four community iftar events were organised to bring people together during Ramadan.

Condolence Gatherings: The Association provided spaces for members to come together to support each other during times of loss.

Community Play and Social Activities: Inclusive games and social events were held for people of all ages to promote wellbeing.

Barbecue Gathering: A social barbecue was organised to encourage friendship and community connections.

Eid Celebrations: Special gatherings were held during Eid to celebrate our culture, strengthen relationships, and support mental and physical wellbeing.
During the year, the Association raised £6,500 through community contributions and fundraising activities. With a total expenditure was £3,417, mainly spent on: Venue and hall hire - Essential supplies and materials - Decorations and event costs.
At the end of the year, the charity had a remaining balance of £3,083, which will be used to support future activities. The trustees believe that the charity remains financially stable. However, additional funding will be needed to organise larger community events in the future.
In the coming years, the Association plans to build stronger partnerships with local charities and community organisations. Offer more social and cultural activities for the community.
