## **Structure, governance and management** 

The charity is operated under the rules of its CIO Foundation adopted on 28 October 2022. 

Trustees are voted in at a committee meeting and agree to serve and adopt all policies of the charity 

## **Objectives and activities** 

The charity objectives are the relief of need of young people within Cornwall who are affected by cancer by the provision of grants. 

## **Public benefit statement** 

The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit, 'Charities and Public Benefit'. 

## **Summary of main activities undertaken for the public benefit** 

The main activity is to provide grants to beneficiaries to enable them to obtain unique experiences in line with the charity's objectives. Grants are also made to local organisations fighting cancer. 

The shop and café provide low cost clothing, household goods and food and drink to local community.

## **Summary of main achievements during the period** 

In the second period of reporting the charity continued running the shop and café and generated sufficient income to provide grants of £25,280. 

## **The charity's policy on reserves** 

The charity aims to hold sufficient reserves to cover 3 months of operational costs and to guard against the risks of falling donations and rising costs.

## **Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Sasha Would've Loved It** 

for the year ended 31 March 2025 

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the period ended 31 March 2025. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparationof the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the ACT. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

- 1 accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

- 2 the accounts do not accord with those records. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
