**tick fever, parvo and any other sickness**
**they have. Along with this we are**
**supplying food, water, and supplying**
**food for the local families that are**
**unable to support the animals**

**pleased with the achievements in our**
**first year as a charity . Our feeding tours**
**that we have focused on, are areas of**
**extreme poverty. Area’s of Palha Verde ,**
**Fatima , Palmeira and Terra Boa.**
**Discovering the devastation of the**
**situation there, we quickly started**
**treating the dogs and cats, we were**
**finding animals so malnourished that**
**they were just dying.**
**We are proud to say that our service is**
**well on the way to changing this, with**
**education and support the local people**
**are wanting to help the animals, making**
**us aware of any animal suffering so we**
**can treat them and asking for food and**
**treatment for there own pets. The**
**situation is difficult but we are hoping to**
**do a big neuter campaign focussing**
**especially on these areas that are so**
**neglected.**
**We have however already managed to**
**neuter well over 100 dogs and cats with**
**our vet.**
**We have focussed on the pack dogs**
**that can be aggressive due to being**
**unneutered and we have seen a huge**
**difference in their behaviour and that’s**
**been mentioned by the public which is**
**positive.**
**We also now have a drop off point on**
**the island where tourists can bring**
**donations, parasite treatment, collars,**
**leads, treats, food, blankets etc and this**
**is getting more popular which is helping**
**our progress and raising people’s**
**awareness of what we do.**
**Deborah is visiting very soon to oversee**
**the situation and check on volunteers**
**and foster carers that’s have animals in**
**their care waiting for there quarantine**
**period of 4 months so they can travel to**
**Europe.**
**We have rehomed 23 dogs to various**
**places in Europe this year.
