The organisation was registered with the Charity Commission on the 27 October 2022. nd ointment of Trustees: The trustees form the Executive Cornmitt of the charity. The members of the Executive Committee are elected at the Annual General Meeting by the members of the Charity. All members are circulated with invitstions to nominate trustees in advance of the AGM. The Constitution of the Charity States that there must be at least three charity trustees, with maximum limit of te1Ve. All charity trustees are appointed for a 3 year term by a resolution pas*d at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees, Trustee Induction and All trustees are provided with the Charity Commissions 'Roles and Responsibilities of Trustees,, the Constitubon and the financial statements including the Annual Report. Any training required by the trustees may be requested at any point, Whe it is considered useful to their role as trustee. anisational Structure: The board of Trustees manages the Charity, and aims to consider only strategic decisions at its meetings. The board holds an AGM every year, other than that any charity trustee may call a meeting during the year. Rlsk Mana ement: The major risks, to whlch the charity is exposed, as identified by the Trustees, have been reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate those risks. All systems and prc(edures are reviewed regularly to ensure they meet charity law and our own organisations aims and objectives. Objectives and Activities The charity's object is: "The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit among refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers in the cty of Hull who are socially excluded on the grounds of their social and economic position, to relieve the needs of such people, and assist them to integrate into society by providing: A) Food, Clothing and household items. B) Advocary and general support including through assistance with securing accommodation, interpretstion and translation seNices, job search assistance and English classes. At this present time there is no finance reserves poliLry in place, but have suggested that the charity should aim to keep 6 months running costs at all time. Finance Review During the financial year the charity received Income of £171,546 (2024 £84,344) and expenditure £79,742 (2024 £91,583). A large legacy payment was received which has boost they savings account, as the charity normally relies on grants and donations. Hessle and Anlaby Food Bank has income below £250,000 and has therefore elected to prepare the financial statements on a Receipts and Payments basis in line with the Charities Att 2011. The Trustees are responsible for kpIng proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accurdcy at any time the financial position of the charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the as*ts of the charity ané hence tsking reasonable Steps for the prevention and detettion of fraud and other irregularities. ststement of disclosure of information to Independent Examlner We, the Trustees of the charity who held office at the date of approval of these financial statements, each confirm so far as we are aware, that: there is no relevant information of which the charivs Independent Examiner is unaware; and We have taken all the steps that we ought to have taken as Trustees in order to make ourselves aware of any relevant information and to establish that the charity's independent examiners a aware of that information. I report on the accounts of Open Dcors Project (Hull) for the period ending 31 August 2025, which are set out on pages 9 to 13. Respective responsibilities of Trustees and examiner The charity's trUStS are sponsIble for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this period under settion 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Att) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to., examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act, to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Art, and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Chartty Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts pre*nted with those record5. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. Independent examiner's statement In connertion with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act or the accounts do not accord with the accounting records I have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. Going Concern Trustees consider the Charlty to be a going concern for a period of at least 12 months after the date on the Independent Examiners report. 13
