Activities and Achievements
This report will comment on everything from April 2024 to March 2025.
The church has been encouraged to welcome a number of peop5e into membership over the last year and
the membership now stands at 22. We have also been thrilled to hold two baptismal services for people
who have come to faith.
We continue running our Little Fishes carer and toddler group a number of the children moved on in the
summer, so in Autumn it started smaller, but it has gradually grown again with new mums and
youngsters. WÈ have a good number of families with which we have regular contact through the time
covered in the report. It is great to see new friendships develop and the gospel being taught to the
children every week through story, crafts, and snack.
We have continued to run Coffee Time, a drop in café style event, on a Friday afternoon from
2.30pm. Numbers have really boomed at this we now regularly serve over 85 people. That growth has
been particularly pronounced amongst secondary school pupils who come to have cake, play games, and
do crafts. But there are also some young mums from toddlers or who used to come to toddlers who come,
and some families from school at drop off. and some grandparents of the pupils that come. There are some
good friendship5 being developed, and some engaged with the 4 minutes video resources we uploaded to
YouTube and advertised at coffee time around the Who we are and why we exist.
We have continued to run Lighthouse, our Sunday afternoon service at 4pm on the second Sunday of the
month. Numbers have dropped off a bit from last year but it has been encouraging to See some families
commit to coming, especially some from toddler5.
We have continued to hold our regular Sunday morning services preaching through Matthew, Revelation,
Deuteronomy and Ephesians. Children have stayed in the service but have activity sheets provided part
way through at the back on supervised tables, that link in with the Family slot teaching in the
service. Nkjmbers at church on a Sunday morning have remained steady, with 40-50 attending regularly.
We have also continued to meet on a Thursday in a home which has been a mix of Bible study and prayer
meeting. Whilst numbers fluctuate week to week we are encouraged by a committed core group.
We were pleased to raise £310 at our Harvest Service as a giftto Medhurst Ministries, who we continue to
partner with, joining with them to support churches working in the UK-S forgotten place5, such as council
estates.
