**Objects:** TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF ELDERLY PEOPLE WHO ARE LONELY AND ISOLATED IN SHERBURN-IN-ELMET AND SURROUNDING PARISHES WITHIN THE SELBY DISTRICT (HEREINAFTER CALLED THE ‘AREA OF BENEFIT) IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT AND TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEED FOR SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR AGE, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND OR INFIRMITY.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.

**Activities:** The activities of the charity include supplying transport for hospital and other medical appointments, a befriending service, shopping trips, assisted shopping,  weekly activity sessions, a meals on wheel service, a weekly get together for a hot meal, trips out and a weekly social gathering for those with dementia and their carers.
