Fundraisingchallenges:
Fundraising to support our delivery remains challenging with fewer revenue grant opportunities
available to us in 2024. Many grants offer funding for capital expenditure and as a very small
charity, we do not aspire to this type of investment currently. As a charity supporting migrants,
the current political climate also creates barriers to fun(Jraising activities thar were prevlously
verywell supported locally.
We thank Nottinghamshire County Council for their support through the Local Communities
Funding and Newark and Sherwood District Council who supported our educational trip to
Lon(Jon and our annual Christmas party.
The Future:
The need for our services is increasing. It is so important to provide friendship, practical support
and encouragement to the new families arriving in the UK. Unsuppoited they would struggle.
Many would be unable to integrate into our culture with little hope of becoming productive,
contented memberswithin our communities.
SREM is proud ofwhatwe and ourfamilies have achieved together. Success breeds success.
Our work will continue as the need grows
