**Objects:** 2.1 THE ORGANISATION'S OBJECTS ARE RESTRICTED SPECIFICALLY, ONLY TO: (A) ADVANCE THE EDUCATION IN THE SUBJECT OF MEDITATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, MAINLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY HOLDING MEDITATION GROUP SITTING SESSIONS, WORKSHOPS, CLASSES, AND RETREATS FOR THE LEARNING AND PRACTICE OF MEDITATION; AND (B) ADVANCE THE BUDDHIST FAITH WITHIN THE DHARMA DRUM MOUNTAIN LINEAGE OF CHAN BUDDHISM, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, MAINLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH THE HOLDING OF TALKS, DISCUSSIONS, LECTURES, BUDDHIST CEREMONIES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF BUDDHIST FESTIVALS, AND PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON CHAN BUDDHISM TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT BUDDHISM.

**Activities:** We have three main types of activities:1) Meditation: we organise regular meditation sessions, instructions, retreats, and talks as well as courses in meditation and Buddhist philosophy;2) Public Engagement: we seek to share the benefits of Chan meditation with the public through various channels;3) Social Engagement: we aim to contribute wherever the need arises in the broader community.
