Ai the children have free asS to indoor and outdoor play. Parents have aCsS to Tapestry for regular updates on their children and the setting. Little Oaks has strong links with all the local schools and other pre- schools in the area. particularly Hurst Green School and Limpsfield, ensuring smooth transittons for children to their next steps_ We provide a SEN room for our SEND children, to provide a calm spa to meet their individual needs provided by their 1-1 keyworkers. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charty during the year e are currently running at full capacity. The school implements all govemment recommendations for Preschool Leaming and staff have undertaken training in appropriate areas. We have 8 members of nursery staff and 1 admin staff. Children are encouraged to work independently and each has their own Key worker and Leaming Joumey. They are encouraged to play outside on a daily basis and work was completed on the garden in September 2020. The children vistt the Library on a weekly basis and are encouraged to Share their book at home. The older children are taken OLrt as a group to work in a slightly more fonmal environment in preparation for the next stage on their school joumey. The children are tsken out on educational vistts and we hwie close ti8S with the local communrty taking part in community led events and organising fund raising of our own. We hold a very well received Christmas Play and Summer Sports Day and Fair. We encourage parental involvement wherever possible in fijnd raising, social events, etc. Atl pre-school staff within the setting, apart from 1, are level 3 qualified. When joining each staff MeMr is fully DBS checked and undertakes relevant training in first aÈd and safeguarding, and then repeated every 2 yea[5 to keep up with Early Years guidance. TAR March 2012
