Object of the CIO:

The object of the CIO is to advance any purpose which is charitable under the laws of England and Wales by making grants primarily for the benefit of the public in the communities of Llanidloes, Llanidloes Without and Llangurig, in Powys.

AGM : The AGM is held in October, when appointment of trustees is made. One-third of the charity trustees shall retire from office although they are eligible for re-election. The maximum number of trustees is 10 and the minimum is 5.

Bank account:

The registered bank account is with a Building Society.

The aim of the charity it to grant all of the money received to the benefit of the communities in Llanidloes, Llanidloes Without and Llangurig.

It was agreed to hold at least £50,000 in Reserve, to cover any unexpected administrative costs of emergency funding needs.

The CIO operates on a zero salary, low overheads model to ensure maximum impact for local causes.

The closing dates for applications will be 1 October and 1 March every year. All applicants will receive an acknowledgment of receipt of their application and they will receive the Trustees’ decision no later than 28 days after the closing date.

Grants made:

The Trustees are mindful that grants will only be made in accordance with the Grant Making Policy. The Trustees expect to see applications identify funding from other sources, up to 50% of total project costs.

At all times, the Trustees will use their discretion in awarding grants.

Any unspent allocation of money will be carried over to the next financial period
