musl be appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed al a properly convened meeting of the charity Iruslees.

E4C's mission is to promote racial hamiony, equality, and dNersity, particularfy among children, young people, and
educators. We do this by..

Main Activitie$ and Achievements: E4C provides a PDwerful prograrnrne of resourcss lfllms, lesson plans, displays,
timelines, access lo archival resources. posters, assemblies, music, accredited research. reading lists. currioulurn reviewsl
from EYFS lo Further Education. There are opportunities lo help educators, students and communities have the courage lo
act against inequality, building understanding and ensuring every human being is valued.
E4C is committed lo providing educators with the resources, ideas, training and education lo build courage and confidence
lo provide an anli.racist curriculum and education and exposure to knowledge and understanding on this issue, infom)ed
by research.
Public Benefit: The organisation works with schools and other educational establishments who want lo obtain the training
and information available on rdcial ha￿￿onY and EDI. The teachers and pupils of those schools and organisations benefit,
as do the wder communities Ihal they live in. Educators who have engaged with the E4C programme will be able lo..

During this finanual year, Education4Change has launched 'Slrength4Change' (which teachers can now start rolling out
within their settingsl-, hosted our Annual Headteachers confe￿￿￿., and progressed engagement and collaboration with
educational settings across the country. In addition to this, our expert leaffl of conlenl ujralors have continued to refresh
E4C's Curriculum Resources Platform lo ensure teachers have amss lo the most relevant resources.
Summer 2023..
Strength4Change IS4CI: A focus on mental health, wellbeing and belonglng
E4C launched the Slrenglh4Change-a 6-week programme lo ￿ run in schools that provides a Spa￿ for young people lo
leam more about m8ntal h8alth and discuss strategies for overcorning Challenges in a safe and irnpactful way.11 also seeks
lo tackle the impact of racial traurna that rnany of our young people may be experiencing. S4C was ￿ated in partnership
with CAMHS was Irialled wth secondary school pupils in 2022. Al lacilrtalors of S4C need lo be trained prior lo rolling
out the programme,. and thi5 surnmer, the first training look place al Dersingham Primary School with sch￿1 leaders and
ambassadors from 26 Newham sthods in attendan￿. Our E4C trainers began by eX￿aIN1￿g the scope and rationale for
the programme (which focuses on destigrnatising mental health among young people and equips Ihern ￿7th the skills and
confidence to talk wlh peers, teachers and family about their mental health and various factors that affect ill. Teacher
facalilalors from the tsjo Schools participating in the trial (Kingsford and Dersingharnl then shared lheirexperien￿S ol running
the programme, induding feedback trom pupils, offering ideas for best practice as well as drawng attention lo possible
challenges ol delivering the programme. Parts'cipants were then gNen an opportunity to explore the materials related lo S4C
arKI discuss the potential difficulties ol delivering the programme wthin their educational setting. All participants left wrth a
deliverable action plan about how the programme would be implemented within their own setting and tailored advice from
a mernber of the E4C team. The feedback was overnhelmingly positive, with participants saying that a programme like S4C
is long overdue within their schools and they fell empowered and well equipped lo deliver il in the coming school ygaT.

E4C Annual Headteachers Conference | Navigating Dlfficult Conversatlons.. Israel-Pale$tlne in the
Classroom
In winler2023, E4C hekl its annual Headleachers ConfereTr￿, tsking as itslheme'courageous Conversation Needed Now,
in ￿SpOnSe lo the growing tensions and divisions wlhin school communities around the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.
The event was developed lo support educators navigating a deeply sensitive and polarising topic that had caused distress
and disagreement among staff teams, students, and their wider communities. The Conferen￿ provided teachers with
practical, thoughfful strategies for discussing the conflict in ways that pric>rilise sludenl wellbeing, critical thinking, and
respect for diverse perspectives. Our keynote speaker, Mohammed Ali Amla a respected educator and representslive of
the charity Solutions Not Sides shared an insighfful and impactful approach rcM)ted in conflict Tesolution, compassion and
empathy. His contribub'on helped frame a constructive path forward lor schools seeking lo maintain safe, inclusive spaces
while addressing complex global issues. The event was a lirnely and necessary intervention, equipping educators to handle
difficult conversations with care, confidence, and compassion.

Collaboration wtth Exceed Trust Academies Bradford
In summer 2024, E4C slrenglhened its collaboration with Exce8d Academies Trust, a diverse family of schools in Bradford
encompassing primary, secondary, and allemalive provision inslilulions. Our team visited several schools within the Twsl,
engaging direcdy with headle8¢hers lo better understand the challenges they fa￿ in their diverse school communities.
These conversations offered valuable insight into the day-lo-day realities ol leading indusive sch(K)Is and informed our
approach lo lulure collaboration. The visit culminated in the delivery of a keynote speech al the Trust's annual conferen2E,
where we explO￿d the impaclof unconscious bias and racial trauma in education. We shared practical strategies lorcrealing
equitable, Iraurna.infofmed environments where all sludenls and staff feel seen, safe, and supported. This engagement has
laid the groundwork for a deeper partnership and co-designed interventions planned for the 2024125 academic year.

across Newham are now equipped lo deliver a programme that not only addresses young people's rnental health bul
explores how experiences of racism and discrimination contribute to emotional and psychological challenges. By enabling
teachers lo lead this work in their own schods, we are embedding anli-raust education within everyday practice.
Working with schools to advance inclusrve education: We have built long-temi partnerships with schools and
trusts in Newham and beyon(￿thIS year, most notably, we have been engaging with Exceed Academies Trust, allowing us
to tailor our work lo different educational contexts across the UK. These partnerships support the developrnent of whde-
school approaches lo racial equity and help us scale our impact beyond individual training sessions.
Fostering understanding beh¥een divers• Communities: Our annual Headleachers Conference remains a
comerstone of our work, offering school leader5 the opportunity lo reflect on and respond to complex issues (such as how
lo talk about the Israel-Palesline conflict within their educational settingl with empathy and professionalism. This work
slrenglhens inler.community understanding within school environments and supwrts 8thfx)I stsff in managing tensions
constnjctively.
Contributing to public understanding through professional development.. Rather than only providing direct
resour￿$. we have priorilised the upsknlling of educabrs-ensLJring they are equipped lo handle sensitive issues, challenge
prejudice, and lead inclusive practice. This approach supports sustainable cultural change within schools and multiplies wr
impad across communil'es.

conlenl4s grounded in the wider goal of shiftsng school culture toward inclusion, care, and justi￿. We continue lo centre
the voices of Students and educators in this work, and our performance this year demonstrates meaningful progress toward

Plans for Future
Looking ahead, Educ81ion4Change is focused on deepening its impact and broadening its national reach. We plan lo build
oll our strong foundation in BradloTd by expanding our partnership work in the area, and we are actively exploring new
collaborations with schools and education services in Haringey and Lambeth, where there is growing interest from local
councils. These developments ￿fleCt our strategic commitment lo working wth diverse school communities in urban areas
across the UK.
In the coming year, we will be launching our new ¢urri¢ulum programme, Creale4Change, which will support pupils to
explore ident'ty, equality, and Justi￿ Ihrtsugh ¢￿atIVity and critical thinking. This initiative builds on our core mission by
equipping educators with the tools lo deliver meaningful, inclusive learning experiences in their classrooms.
Following the success of our 2023 winter conference, we will host another Headleachers, Conference in winter 2024r25,
bringing together senior leaders to engage with issues of raaal justice, indusion, and community cohesion. The upcoming
nferen¢e will focus on a relevant and timely theme Ihal engages direcdy with current global events, ensuring that schcKJl
leaders are supported lo respond Ihoughffully to the wider social and political context affeth.ng their school communities.
Finally, we are preparing lo relaunch our Curriculum Resources Plafform. taking into accounldirect feedback Irorn educ8tors
about the kinds ol reSour￿S they find most useful and how they prefer lo aC￿sS them. The updated plafform wll priorilise
ease of use, highquality conlenl. and clear guidance for ernbedding anti-racisrn and diversity into everyday teaching
pract￿e.
Together, fhese plans reflect our continued drive lo support educators and school leaders to create inclusive environments
that foster ernpathy, equity, and meaningful change.
From a funding perspective, we are continuing lo build long-term sustainability. We are in active discussion with Newharn
Local Authorty about the conlinualion of support folbwing the £40,000 grant that enabled ourwork with ￿h[K)IS across the
borough. A key part of this sustainability strategy is the development of our school subscription model, which is now being
rolled out in Newham and wll be exlended to other areas. Through this model, subscribing sch(K)Is gain access lo a

The financial slalements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporb'ng by Charities: Statement
of Recommended Practice applicable to charities p￿parirng their accounts in aco)rdance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic ol Ireland IFRS1021 leffective 1 January 20191- (Charities SORP IFRS
10211, the Financial RepN)rting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of I￿land IFRS 1021 and the Companies
Act 2006.
Education 4 Change meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are In￿allY
recognIs￿ al historical cost or transath.on value unless otherwise staled in the relevant accounting policy nolelsl.
These financial statements have been drawn up in the historical accounting basis.
The accounts are prepared in pounds sterfing, rounded to the nearest pound.
Preparation of accounts on a going concern basis
The trustees consider there are no material uncertainties about the Charty's ability to continue as a going con¢em.
The review ol financial position, resetves level and future plans gives Trustees confidence the charty rernains a going
concem for th8 foreseeable future.
Income recognition
Income from grants and donations are accounted for when receNable. Grants are accounted for when the charity
becomes enlilled lo the funding and donations are accounted lorwhen received.
Expenditure
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal orconslwctive obligation lo make paymenttoalhird party, il is probable
that setuemenl will be required, and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.
