## **ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE**

> **Autumn 2022** The Founda3on was officially established, marking a significant milestone for our organisa3on. To celebrate and kickstart our efforts, we organised carol singing sessions in collabora3on with MTR Elizabeth Line Ambassadors. These fes3ve events took place at Ealing Broadway Sta3on and Hanwell Sta3on, providing us with an opportunity to connect with the community and raise funds in a public se]ng. This ini3a3ve was par3cularly special as it was the first 3me we stepped out not just as a school, but as a recognised charity. The success of these carol singing sessions opened the door to further discussions with MTR Elizabeth Line, laying the groundwork for poten3al future partnerships. This collabora3on promises to enhance our outreach and impact, aligning with our mission to serve and benefit the community through charitable ac3vi3es. We also received grants from Lidl and Clothworkers’ Founda3on to make the purchase of an accessible vehicle possible.

> **Summer 2023** The inaugural picture book, _The Wheelchair Walk_ , was produced and introduced to our students. To help them engage with the story, we held poetry sessions within the school, allowing students to delve into the narra3ve and its themes. In addi3on to these sessions, the Founda3on organised two short parades around Hanwell, which was enthusias3cally supported by local businesses and school staff. This event not only brought the community together but also highlighted our commitment to raising awareness about disabili3es. Furthermore, copies of _The Wheelchair Walk_ were gi^ed to various local establishments, including shops, the library, and schools. This distribu3on aimed to extend the reach of our message, fostering a greater understanding and awareness of disabili3es within the community.

**ST. ANN’S FOUNDATION**

**ANNUAL REPORT 2024**

> **Autumn 2023** The Founda3on leveraged World Mental Health Day to both raise awareness of mental health issues and generate funds for our ini3a3ves. The event received overwhelming support from families and school staff, many of whom donned green a]re and made dona3ons to demonstrate their commitment to the cause. In December, trustees and volunteers organised a series of fes3ve Christmas celebra3ons. The highlight was the inaugural Christmas Market, held in the school hall. Students and staff collaborated to design and produce various items for sale, showcasing the prac3cal life skills learned in school. The market a_racted numerous families eager to support and observe their children's efforts. Addi3onally, a successful carol singing event was coordinated with the Elthorne Park High School choir. This inclusive performance at Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre featured our students with learning difficul3es, drawing significant a_en3on from the local community. The event was covered by local news outlets and even caught the eye of the Deputy Lieutenant of Ealing, who subsequently became the Founda3on's patron. Thanks to generous dona3ons from the local community, we were also able to host our first Christmas raffle. Volunteers diligently wrapped the gi^s, and the event enjoyed robust support from families and school staff, contribu3ng to its overall success. One of our dedicated supporters undertook a remarkable challenge by embarking on a sponsored walk to raise funds for the Founda3on. This inspiring endeavour not only demonstrated the personal commitment of our supporters but also highlighted the broad appeal and posi3ve impact of the Founda3on within the wider community. The enthusias3c response and generous contribu3ons from the public further underscored the strong connec3on and support we have cul3vated through our mission and ac3vi3es.

**ST. ANN’S FOUNDATION**

**ANNUAL REPORT 2024**

> **Spring 2024** During this period, the trustees decided to step back, recharge, and replan our future ini3a3ves. To raise awareness of Down syndrome, we encouraged school staff and students to wear odd socks, a simple yet powerful gesture to promote inclusivity. Building on our previous success, we produced our second book, _Who Teaches US Joy?_ . To further promote our literary efforts, we sent out informa3on about pre-ordering our books to families and shared it on social media. This helped generate excitement and support for _Who Teaches US Joy?_ . and our previous work, _The Wheelchair Walk_ , showcasing the crea3vity and dedica3on of our Founda3on. In celebra3on of World Book Day, we invited all classes to decorate their classroom doors as their favourite stories. Students and staff alike dressed up as beloved characters from their favourite books, crea3ng a joyful and vibrant atmosphere throughout the school. The day culminated in a prize for the bestdecorated door, generously provided by the head teacher. We were delighted to announce that we successfully achieved our first major goal with the purchase and delivery of an all-electric accessible vehicle. This specially equipped vehicle will significantly enhance the opportuni3es for our students, enabling them to par3cipate in community visits and develop essen3al daily life skills. By providing reliable and inclusive transporta3on, we are opening new avenues for experien3al learning and personal growth, ensuring that all our students can fully engage with and benefit from the broader community. Two of St. Ann’s School’s pupils and their family embarked on a fundraising campaign for the Founda3on, successfully raising a substan3al amount of money. I addi3on to their fundraising efforts, they distributed flyers to increase public awareness about the Founda3on’s mission and ac3vi3es.
