Trustees’ Annual Report and Accounts
For the period 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024
Trustees’ Annual Report
Objectives and activities (public benefit)
The charity’s object is the advancement of education for the public benefit. During the reporting period the charity undertook preparatory steps only and carried out no charitable activities. The trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission’s public benefit guidance when planning the charity’s future work.
Explanation of inactivity in the period
- The trustees resolved not to commence public fundraising or grant making until key start-up controls were in place. In particular: (i) completion of charity banking onboarding and KYC/AML to ensure secure receipt and reconciliation of funds; (ii) implementation of internal financial controls consistent with the Charity Commission’s CC8 guidance; (iii) adoption of a proportionate risk framework and register (CC26); (iv) conflicts-of-interest - procedures (CC29), given the intention to make restricted, project specific grants to non-charitable delivery partners, with monitoring and contractual clawback to protect - funds; (v) safeguarding and data protection procedures suitable for educational activity; and (vi) HMRC Gift Aid readiness and compliant donor receipting. Accordingly, the trustees considered it prudent and in the charity’s best interests to remain dormant for the period; no income or expenditure occurred.

No charitable activities were undertaken during the period. The charity remained dormant.
