The Iruslees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 5th April 2025.
The Iruslees have adopted the provisions of Account1ng and Reporting by Charities.. Slalement ol
Recommended Practice applicable lo chanlies preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective 1 January 20191.
Obje¢tive$ and activities
Constitution and objects
The Richard Meins Charitable Trust is conslituled by a trust deed dated 19th August 2022 and is a registered
charity number 1200494.
The objects of the charity are lo apply the income and capital of the trust for charitable purposes as the
Trustees shall in their absolute discretion detemiine.
Public benefit
In meeting the objectives the Trustees have given careful consideration lo the Charity Commission's general
guidance on public benefit and judge that all donations made meet this guidance.
Financial review
Investment policy and objectives
The Trustees continue to look lo support charitsble organi5alions within the objects clause of the Trust deed.
Funds are yet to be nominated for specific purposes but the Trustees intend lo make donations in the near
future.
The Financial Stslemenls show gross income of £130,00012024". £50.0001 in the year. After support costs of
£154,75012024." £9.2501, funds of £20.407 are available to be carried forward.
The Trustees are satisfied with the slate of the Trusf5 affairs.
The Trustees follow a conservative investment policy by keeping ils monies on deposit, which ensures
sufficient liquidity for the Trust's foreseeable needs and donations.
Reserves policy
The Trustees aim to maintain unrestricted reserves in order lo meet any exceptional calls for immediate
charitable funding. The unrestricted reserves at 5 Apnl 2025 were £20,407

Governing document
The charity is controlled by its goveming document, a deed of trust and constitutes an unin¢orporaled charity.
Oryanlsatlon
The Trustees who have served during the year and since the year end are sel out on page 1. The power lo
appoint additional Trustees is vested in the current Trustees and is exercisable in writing. Where there is a
requirement for new Trustees, these would be identified by the remaining Trustees.
Rlsk management
The trustees have a duty lo identify and review the risks lo which Ihe charity is exposed and lo ensure
appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.

I report to the charity Iruslees on my examination of the accounts of The Richard Meins Charitable Trust Ilhe
Trust) for the year ended 5th April 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity Iruslees of the Trusl you are responsible for the preparation of the a¢¢ounls in accordance with
the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 I'the Acfl.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under Section 145 of the Act and in
carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Cornmission under
Section 14515llbl of the Act.

I have completed my examinalion. I confim that no material matters have come lo my attention in connection
with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect".

Accounting policies
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial stslemenls of the charity. which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been
prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities."
Slalement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance
with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021

been prepared under the historical ￿$1 convention.
Donations. legacies and similar income
Donations. legacies and similar income are shown in the accounts when receivable and the value ol
the incoming resources can be measured wth sufficienl reliability.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditvre as soon as there is a legal or construelive obligation
committing the charity lo that expenditure. it is Pfobable that a transfer of economic benefits will be
required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is
accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost
related lo the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been
allocated to activities on a basis consistent wrth the use of resources.
Taxation
The charity is exempl from lax on its charitable aclivilies.
Fund accounting
Unreslricled funds can be used in accordance wth the Chanlable objectives al the discretion of the
trustees.
Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity.
Restrictions arise when spe¢ified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted
purposes.
