Activities
The charity advances the Christian faith on a non-denominational basis through activities including public worship, prayer meetings, teaching, discipleship and community outreach. It provides educational programmes informed by Christian beliefs and values, including training sessions, seminars, events, learning resources and a Bible reading club that encourages understanding of Christian teachings
Objects: The Objects Of The Dayspring Are:i. To Advance Education For The Public Benefit By Running Both Online And In-Person Reading Sessions, Book Clubs, Reading Groups And Workshops In Schools And Community Settings, In Particular But Not Exclusively For Those With Life-Long Learning Disabilities Or From Diverse Cultural Backgrounds; Andii. To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society, Through The Provision Of A Befriending Service To Talk And Listen To Those Who Are Socially Excluded And Arts And Crafts Workshops And Trips.for The Purpose Of This Clause ‘socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of One Of More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Financial Hardship; Youth Or Old Age; Ill Health (physical Or Mental); Substance Abuse Or Dependency Including Alcohol And Drugs; Discrimination On The Grounds Of Sex, Race, Disability, Ethnic Origin, Religion, Belief, Creed, Sexual Orientation Or Gender Re-Assignment; Poor Educational Or Skills Attainment; Relationship And Family Breakdown; Poor Housing (that Is Housing That Does Not Meet Basic Habitable Standards; Crime (either As A Victim Of Crime Or As An Offender Rehabilitating Into Society).nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With [section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (scotland) Act 2005] And [section 2 Of The Charities Act (northern Ireland) 2008].
