**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN UNDER-REPRESENTED IN TERMS OF GENDER AND/OR ETHNICITY, IN THE UK AVIATION INDUSTRY THROUGH ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS:(A) PROMOTION OF POSITIVE ATTITUDES, CUSTOMS AND PRACTICES TOWARDS GENDER BALANCE, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN THE EMPLOYMENT AND PARTICIPATION OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN UNDER-REPRESENTED IN TERMS OF GENDER AND/OR ETHNICITY.(B) PROVIDING ADVICE, MENTORING AND SUPPORT TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN UNDER-REPRESENTED IN TERMS OF GENDER AND/OR ETHNICITY INTERESTED IN PURSUING A CAREER IN THE UK AVIATION INDUSTRY TO SHOWCASE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE REGARDLESS OF GENDER OR ETHNICITY.

**Activities:** Promotion of positive attitudes, customs and practices towards gender balance, diversity and inclusion in the employment and participcation of people who have been under represented in term of gender and or ethnicity.Providing advice, mentoring and support to people who have been under represented in terms of gender and or ethnicity interested in pursuing a career in the UK aviation industry.
