Trustees' Annual Report for the Year Ended 30 June 2025 

## 1. Introducton 

Kingdom Bride International Charity (KBI) is a charitable organization dedicated to preventing and alleviate poverty, provide for the less privilege, shelter for the homeless, empowering women and people with training, training to set-up businesses and support in education. This report covers our activities, achievements, and financial performance for the year ending 30 June 2025. 

## 2. Structure, Governance, and Management 

## 2.1 Legal Status 

Kingdom Bride International Charity is registered with Charity Commission for England and Wales with Charity number: 1200367. 

## 2.2 Trustees 

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity. During the year, the following individuals served as trustees: 

- Bishop Dr Rose Jessa 

- Mark Okon-udom 

- Margaret Sesay 

- Bassey Okon-udom 

- Jasmin Smyth 

## 2.3 Governance 

The trustees meet quarterly to review the charity's performance, set strategic priorities, and ensure that the charity adheres to its legal and ethical obligations. 

## 2.4 Management 

Day-to-day operations of the charity are managed by the charity management team under the supervision of the trustees. 

## 3. Objectves and Actvites 

## 3.1 Objectves 

The primary objectives of KBI are to provide support, education, resources to underprivileged communities. 

## 3.2 Actvites 

During the year, KBI undertook the following key activities to achieve its objectives: 

- Providing deprived families with food packages and household essentials. 

- Providing low-income families with education and adult training. 

- Providing low-income families with a warm hub and community groups. 

- Providing Low-income families with family fun days out. 



## 4. Achievements and Performance 

## 4.1 Key Achievements 

KBI made significant progress toward its mission over the past year, including: 

- We successfully delivered and completed our National Lottery–funded project, enabling us to provide meaningful and sustained support to the local community and make significant progress towards our charitable mission. 

- Families impacted by poverty have been provided with essentials required to maintain good health, including food, hygiene and sanitary products. 

- Opportunities for earning an income have been improved through education and adult training. 

- We have collaborated with other charitable organisations and local authorities to support in progress towards our mission. 

## 4.2 Challenges 

The charity faced the following challenges during the year: 

- While we were fortunate to receive grant funding, securing consistent and sustainable income streams remained a challenge, particularly in balancing immediate community needs with long-term financial planning. 

- As a volunteer-led organisation, we faced limitations in capacity, which impacted the speed and scale at which we could deliver support, particularly during peak periods such as the Christmas campaign 

## 5. Financial Review 

## 5.1 Financial Performance 

The financial performance of KBI during the year was as follows: 

- Total income: £10 

- Total expenditure: £9020.00 

## 5.2 Reserves Policy 

The trustees have established a reserves policy to ensure the financial stability of the charity. 

## 5.3 Funding Sources 

The charity's income was derived from the following sources: 

- Donations 

## 6. Plans for the Future 

The trustees have identified the following priorities for the coming year: 

- Now that we have an established community, utilise this to significantly continue to raise additional funds through fundraising events. 

- Strive to make significant progress towards our mission. 

These initiatives are designed to further our mission and expand the impact of our work. 



## 7. Public Beneft Statement 

The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission when exercising any powers or duties to which the guidance is relevant. 

## 8. Statement of Trustees' Responsibilites 

The trustees are responsible for ensuring that the charity maintains proper accounting records and for preparing financial statements that give a true and fair view of the charity's financial activities.
