## **Trustees’ Annual Report** **Date: 01/01/2024 - 31/12/2024 Charity: @theOldDeanRec Charity Registration number: 1200357** ## **Objectives and Activities Summary:** Develop capacity and skills for the disadvantaged community on Old Dean. Act as a resource to provide advice and activities both educational and leisure. Summary of our main Activities: Providing a warm welcoming area for children and their carers to access books, internet, social sessions, craft activities, signposting to other services, employment support for parents. We also have seasonal activities such as Stories with Santa. ## **Achievements and performance Summary:** We have welcomed over 200 children to our library since our opening in July 2023, approximately 125 of these children have taken at least 1 book home. We have open extra hours during school holidays to provide craft activities and Stories with Santa. We run an annual Emergency Services Day which is very well attended. We work with local organisations to provide additional support for our users. We have a close relationship with our local Schools and local Community Group. We have arranged a litter pick in our local area. We have 9 volunteers to support our service, and continue to develop a strong team. We have received grants to improve our toilet facilities and improve the football pitch at the playground. ## **Financial review Summary:** At the end of 2024 @theOldDeanRec had £3232 in our account, @theOldDeanRec has a reserves policy to support the cost of a charity closure if this should need to occur. ## **Structure, Governance and management Summary:** @theOldDeanRec is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, governed by a constitution approved and filed with the Charities Commission.
