## **Objectives and Activities Summary:** 

Develop capacity and skills for the disadvantaged community on Old Dean. 

Act as a resource to provide advice and activities both educational and leisure. 

Summary of our main Activities: 

Providing a warm welcoming area for children and their carers to access books, internet, social sessions, craft activities, signposting to other services, employment support for parents.  We also have seasonal activities such as Stories with Santa. 

## **Achievements and performance Summary:** 

We have welcomed over 100 children to our library since our opening  in July 2023, approximately 70 of these children have taken at least 1 book home. 

We have open extra hours during school holidays to provide craft activities and Stories with Santa. 

We have arranged a litter pick in our local area. 

We have recruited 12 volunteers  to support our service,  and continue to develop a strong team. 

## **Financial review Summary:** 

At the end of 2023 @theOldDeanRec had £11,883 in our account, £6,500 is to go towards a toilet refurbishment that should take place around April 2024. 

@theOldDeanRec has a reserves policy to support the cost of a charity closure if this should need to occur. 



## **Structure, Governance and management Summary:** 

@theOldDeanRec is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, governed by  a constitution approved and filed with the Charities Commission. 

New Trustees can be selected by recommendation and agreement by existing trustees during a general meeting.
