The progress we've made has b¢¢n led by our Chartty Manager and two Executive Trustees. who have been instrumental in driving the projeci fonvaTd and shaping our service offerin8. Their effort5. 5UPPOrted by the guidance and over5igh¢ of the full m]stee board. have enabl¢d the charity to move from setup to delivery this year. With our livevin Fami Mallager and her Deputy Manager in place, 11¢ weleom¢d a diverse and therapeutic range of animals including a horse, alpacas. Dartmoor poni¢& doEJkey5. goats, sheep. chickens, giant rabbits. and guinea pigs, with others being sourced. The farn) is now full of life and purpose, and w¢'ve seen a real transforniation in the enyirottment. We've invested to ¢ompl¢te the key infrastTU¢ture. including a new TiMeter fence. accessible paddocks, omd refurbished and altered th£ farni house into two dwellings. One where the fami manager lives 8nd the other into an operating Airbnb, rrealing an impottat)t inromc stream for the Charity. Initial fi]ndraising effort5 faced challenges due to the early focus on Ènfra5tructure, however now the service is open and supp)rting regular Poolers (participants). sehool groups and work pla¢ements from animal colleges the farm is IItsuri5hing. Feedba¢k is In¢dIblY positive, and our Pooler$ are showing elear improvements in confiden¢e, independence, and menlal wellbeing. Our farni team is a credit to the charity with deep eare for ihe anima]s matched by their skill in wElcoming and supporting OL¢r Poolers and s¢hool grtsup5. They not only share their knowledge and passion for farn] life do so in way that 15 sensitiv¢ to the varied need5 of the young pcople we support. W¢ recently welcomed a new trnsiee with farni experience, Strengthening the board with valuable insight. Looking ahead. our prioritle5 include ereating a fruit and vegetable garden as a new a¢iivity, expanding our volunteer base, and plannin8 th¢ construction of a new barn to support our groHryng offer. A big challenge has been floodin& which has prornpted us io review how we use parts of our land. We have agreed flood mitigation approaches for garage storage and th¢ new kitthen garden design. We're excited to be hosting our first on day in August. a chance to Celebrate the work so far and share our vision with the local community.
