TRUSTEES REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED Sep_2024 ## **Governing Document** FoodBanked is constituted as a charitable association registered with the Charity Commission on 05 September 2023 under charity number 1200267 and is governed by a constitution adopted on 05 September 2024. ## **Objects** The object of FoodBanked is the prevention or relief of poverty within east London and surrounding Essex areas, primarily through the provision of food, clothes, hygiene, household products and services to people in poverty and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty ## **Aims and Objectives** The aims and objectives of the charity are to provide essential food, clothes, hygiene and household products to people in need within east London and surrounding Essex areas ## **Trusteeship** The current trustees are Mohammed Ashraf Hussain, Faruk Kanamia and Rajia Hussain, they have all been with the organization for a significant period of time and are reappointed annually at the Annual General Meeting, ## **Organisational Structure** The charity trustees are responsible for the general control and management of the charity. The trustees give their time freely and receive no remuneration or other financial benefits ## **Risk Management** The trustees have assessed the risks the charity faces and have identified the major risks by area of activity and the nature of those risks. The trustees review risk regularly and strengthen their perspective on this issue through meetings. The trustees are satisfied that systems are in place, or arrangements are in hand to manage the risks which have been identified ## **Use of volunteers** Volunteers are involved in all of our Activities and meet regularly at team meetings. We make the necessary checks to ensure volunteers carry the appropriate traits for the organization and understand the objectives ## **Public Benefit** In planning our activities we keep in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. The focus of our activities remains our projects which help marginalised communities across east London and surrounding Essex areas. Our projects benefit people through boosting their confidence and dignity. ## **Financial Review** ## **Future plans** FoodBanked received donations totalling £4,660.00 at the end of our financial period in September 2024.
