Hobbs Nature Reserve Trust
Annual report to Charity Commission-period ending 31 December 2024
The work started in 2023 to restore the rock face, an SSSI, has con7nued, including the employment of tree surgeons to remove trees and shrubs from the upper level of the rock face.
The reserve is also the site of a disused lime kiln that is believed to date back to 1800. It is an important part of the industrial history of the local community and was in danger of becoming derelict beyond recogni7on. An applica7on was made in December 2024 to the Enovert Community Trust for a grant to undertake the conserva7on of the kiln.
The work of the reserve has been generously supported by Innova7on Visual Ltd (hKps://www.innova7onvisual.com/) who have provided significant funding as part of their contribu7on to suppor7ng conserva7on projects through the interna7onal organisa7on 1% for the Planet (hKps://www.onepercenSortheplanet.org/).
