The Allh8lbows Museum Society of Honilon was eslabllshed as an Independent museum after thg
buildlng was purchased In 1945. It has been a registered charity {3066451 since 1964 and became
a Registered Museum in 1997 and has malntalned thè Accr8dit81ion Standard IR07981 sln¢&
The Muséum has now been registered ￿ the Charfty Comm18slon as a Ch8rftable Incorporated
Organisation ICIOI registered number 1200249 in the name of 'Th8 Allhallows Mu50um of
Honilon,. A Pra-merger vesting declarallon 10 July 2024 wa8 completed with a Iransler of assets
beiween the charillès effected on th& 7 October 2025. The objects of the charily and management
slruGlure r8maln unchanged.
A raque8t to Glos$ the fonner tharily 1306645) w88 made to tha Charfty Commission on 20
January 2026. The CommlssSon was infomad on the 21 January 2026, by the CIO (12002491, of
the merger and requested this be nolad on The Register of Mergors.

All our odlvilies producg publlc benefits. and it18 conllm8d that the Iruslges have complied fully
wtth Ihe Charlties Act 2011 In th18 regard. The policy of free entry, introduced in 2011 will remain

Changes were made in 14 dlsplay case8 In the museum during the wintèr closure 8nd wo loaned
dlsplays lo Colyton H&rttage Cenlre. and artefacts to Otlery St Mary Heritsge Museum and
SWAHT. We have our own display cablnel in Honiton Library.
The museum was open for 1,348 hourg In 2025. The total vlsltor numbers were 7,696 {down 411
whith included 626 chIld￿n Idown by 1011. Analysis of the 531 vfjsilor surveys complelgd showed
that there was 8 slight inc*e88e Sn foreign visitors. Elghlyaone percent of visitors came to Honiton
by car and travelled for half an hour to get here. Twgnty-seven percgnt vislted after a
recommèndation and 20V• cama because of $ocial media or our webslle.

The CIO has ffifty members, forty-eight of those glve practical as8lstsnc8 In the daily running of the
Museum. During the sèason 6,993 hours were worked by voluntegrs. We responded to 1,325
enquiries. Th8 number of ryjr Facebook followers rose to 1.156. and the 18rge81 post reach was
view8d by 16.814 people.
Mary Wardell took Honlton la¢e from our ￿llectIon to display at the Bolsena {118ly} Blenna16 2025
from the 4th lo 7th Septemb8r. Thlrty-flva donatSons were m8da to the mu88um colledion including
Madeline Radford's and Mrs Florenc8 Grlfffths lar* cdleclions. One pupil did work
experience. Four vduntefjrs attended a costume mounlSng traSnlng day and everyone attended fire
tralnbng.
M05t prebooked coach lour vlslts wer8 ¢an¢¢llgd, but gulded tours were provlded for eight groups.
We were involvèd in the Telling Our Slorfes, Flndlng Our Rool8' project. Museum volunl8ers
regularly provlde art￿leS for Honlton V￿ce and The One magaane.
Thg Museum h88 always taken an actlv8 role wllhin the communlty and ils ac*ivlll88, We are proud
lo ba Dementla Frlendly 8nd fully support Honlton's Falr Trade Town slalu5. We have malnl8lned
and fostered close link3 with local communlly groups such 89 St*ools, library, Thelma Hulbert
Gallgry, Old Honltonlans lex-puplls of Mlhallow8 Sthooll.
In September 2024, wa launched an appeal to raise £40K funds to replace the flal18ad rool over
the Nicoll gallery. Th1$ wa8 suc￿8Sful and tho work 8lart8d In November 2025.
Financlal rnvlew
Our total income for the 2024125 year was £71,466, up from £51,238 tha pr8vIou8 year an
In¢r¢ase £19k. The total income comprf88d shop counter Sales of £13.089 and exl8mal s8la8 of
£625.
Our core 8ales 81 the counter saw no imyovemenl. However, when adding visitor donation5. the
overall lolal visitor 8ales and donatlon8 increased by 0.85% from £17,039 to £17,183. The
8verag6 visitor spend par person (purchases & donalSons) was £2.49 compared with £2.43 In the
prevlou¥ year.
Our progr8s8 In our recovery to pre-cowd sales and donation figure8,' remains slow al 10.51Vo
down compared lo 11.18Y¢ last year. Thls Ss a concem and whi18t we h8ve bg8n able to benefit
from increased retums on our capllal that cannot ba oxpected lo conllnua.
Income from ail other s￿re￿¥ was £48.188 up £26,089. Thls total Induded grants, donatlon8
and glft ald of %thich £42,423.56 is attributed lo the Roof Ap￿1 Fun¢J. Income from Interest c4)
saving8 Increased to £9,583 from18St year's £9,139.
Our total expendrture f911 by £2,806 10 £21.$62. ThSs was prfnclpally because of lower maintenance
costs of £5,024 bul offset by high8T electricty ￿sts of £1,819. AJI other expenditur8 remalned
comparable lo previous year.
The Increased power c081s and general inflation wlll add pr8$5ure to (￿r budget $¢tting and
certaSnly make the task more demanding. The museum did not have lo call upon cash reserves lo
cover any unavoldable 8xpenditure.
