period ended 31 October 2023.
Objectives and activities
Objects and aims
The Maintenan￿ of a museum in Honiton, thich shall be open to the public, for the acquisition,
preservation and display of objects and material illu$lraling the history, art and industry of Honilon, of
its neighbourhood and of the county, particular emphasis being given lo Honilon Lace.

Public benefit
All our aclivitres produce public benefits. and it is confirmed that the trustees have complied fully with
the Charities Act 2011 in this regard.
Structure, govemanee and management
Nature of governing document
The Charity is govemed by ils Constitution dated 1 September 2022.
Recruitment and appointment of trustees
The museum is administered by a committee of Iruslees. The rules for the appointment of trustees are
sel out in the charity's constitution.
Risk management
The Trustees have assessed the major risks fa¢irwJ the Charity and have developed appropriate
procedures to miligale and control those risks.

Statement of Trustees. Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the trustees, report and the financial statements in
accordance wth the United Kingdom A¢¢ounling Standards {United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Pfacticel and applicable law and regulations.
The law applicable lo charities requires the Iwslees lo prepare financial statements for each financial
period which give a true and fair view of the stale of affair5 01 the charity and of the ineoming
resources and application of resources of the charity for that peri¢)d. In preparing these financial
slatemenls, the Iruslees are required to..
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them ¢onsstently',
observe Ihe methods and principles in the Charities SORP.,
makejudgements and estimates that afe reasonable and prudent;
state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject lo any material
departures di8¢105ed and explained in the financial stalemenls., and
prepare the financial statements on the going concein basis unless it is inappropriate lo presume
that the charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose wlh reasonable
a¢¢uracy al any lime the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial
statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charilies IAccounls and Reports) Regulations
2008, and the provisions of the conslitulion. The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the
assets of the eharily and hen¢e for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of Iraud
and other irregularities.
The trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the corporate and financial
information included on the charitable company's website. Legislation governing the preparation and
dissemination of financial slalemenls may differ from legi4ation in other jurisdictions.

1 Accounting policies
Statement of compllance
The financial slalemenls have been prepa￿d in accordance with the second edition of the Charities
Statement of Recommended Practi￿ issued in October 2019. the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Charities Act 2011.
Basis of preparatlon
The Allhallows Museum of Honiton meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. The
accounts (financial slatementsl have been prepared under the hisloricd cost convention wlh items
re¢ognised al cost or transaction value unless otherwise slated in the relevant nolelsl lo these
account$.
Going concern
The Iruslees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability lo continue as
a going concern.
Income and endowments
All incoming resources are included in the slalemenl of financid activities when enlillemenl has
passed lo the charity., it is probably that the economic benefits associated with the transaction wll flow
lo the charity and the amount can be reliably measured.
Expenditure
All expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or Constructive obligation lo that expenditure, il is
probable settlement is required and the amount can be measured reliably. All costs are allocated lo
the applicable eX￿nditUre heading that aggregate similar ¢osls lo that category.
Charitable expenditure comprises those Costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities
and services for ils beneficiaries. 11 includes both costs that can be allo¢ated directly to such activities
and Ihose costs of an indirect nature necessary to support them.
Govemance costs include the costs allributable lo the charity's Complian￿ with conslitulional and
stalulory requirements, including independent examinati¢J>, strategic management and trustee's
meetings and reimbursed expense$.
Fund structure
Unreslricled income funds are general funds that are available for use al the Tfustee's discretion in
furtherance of the objective5 of the charity.
Designated funds are unrestricted funds set aside for spedfr purposes al the discretion of the
Trustees.
Restricted income funds are those funds donated for use in 2 particular area or for specific purposes ,
the use of which is restricted lo that area or PUFPOSe.

2 Trustees remuneration and expens
No Iruslees, nor any persons connected wlh them, have received any ￿muneratIon from the ¢harily
