The Corner has no liabilities as at 31 October 2022.
The Corner registered with the Charity Commission becoming a charitable incorporated organisation on 1 September 2022 (charity no. 1200238). The financial statements have been prepared on the receipts and accruals basis as per section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 applicable to charities with income of no more than £250,000.

## **Notes to the Accounts**
## **1 Restricted funds**
During the year to 31 October 2021, The Corner received approval for two grants. Firstly, from Cardiff Council Community Regeneration Fund, in order to renovate the community space. Secondly, from the National Lottery Community Fund, to refurbish the community space following the renovation works.
During the year to 31 October 2023, The Corner received approval for a new grant from the Cardiff YMCA 1910 Trust.
The receipts, payments and balances relating to these funds are presented separately to the other funds in the financial statements. A summary of these grants as at 31 October 2023 is detailed in the table below.
