The Board of Trustees presents its Tru5tees' Report and financial statements for the year ended 31
March 2026. The fTrnancial statement5 have been prepared in accordance with the èccounting policies
set out in note I to the accounts and comply with the Chari￿5 constitution and the requirements of
the Charities Act 2011.
Airns and Objettives
The objects of the Charity are twofold-
To relieve the needs of Ukrainians granied refugee status under the Homes for Ukraine
scheme and their hosts in Printes Risborough, Loosley Row, Lacey Green, Speen and other
nearby villages in the South Buckinghamshire Chilterns area. by the provision of practical and
financial assistance, advice and supporL
The provision of facilities for ￿treation or other leisure time occupation with the object of
improving the conditions of life of those person5 who are Ukrainian refugees in this country
under the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
Review of achievements
As we mark the fourth annFversary of the Ukraine to Chilterns charity. we reflect on a year of continued
support, creativity, and community resilien￿. Our mission to help Ukrainian refugees and their host
families in Buckir)ghamshire and the Chilterns remains as vital as ever, and our network of volunteers.

Regular Activitles and Support
CreutiTve Con¥ernitiTon Meetings
Our monthly Creative Conversation sessK)ns, held at The Dairy, Culverton Farm, continue to provide
an imwrtant opportunity for Ukratnian guests and local residents to come together in a welcoming
and supportive environment. Held on the last Saturday of each month, these sessions use art,
conversotion, and shared experiences io foster friendship, understanding, and community
integration.
During the year. participants worked collaboratively on a comwnunity quilting project. creating a
hanging that 5ymboli5es the coming together of our two communities. The projert celebrates the
resilience of our Ukrainian guests, the friendship5 that have developed. and the positive impact of
acceptance, kindness. and mutual support.
Maker ond Fixer Workshops
Our Maker and Fixer workshops. held on the third Sunday of each month at The Dairy. continue to
brrng together people of all ages to learn. create, fepair. and share practical ski115. These hands-on
sessions promote community engagement. confidence-buildin& and social connection while
entouraging participants to support one another through shared activities.
Practical Help and Guidance
Ukrainion Rep￿entotiOn on the Trustee Boord
During the year, we expanded our Trustee Board to include a third Ukrainian trustee. We believe it is
essential that those directly afferted by the issues the charity seeks to address play an active role in

shaping its direction and activities. Their lived experience and understanding of ihe challenges facing
Ukrainian families in the UK help ensure that our support remains relevant. effettive, and responsive
to changing needs.
We have also irwested in the development of our Ukrainian trustees. Two of our Ukrainian trLSStees
have undertaken trainin8 to become the charity's Safeguarding Leads, strengthening the Board's
capacity to support benefKiaries and fulfil its safeguarding responsibilities. In addition, they have
successfully completed Food Hygiene trainin& enabling them to support the charity's community
events and activities safely and effectively.
The charity has fun(led this training as part of its commitment to building the skills, confidence, and
leadership capacity of those within the Ukrainian community, ensuring that beneficiaries are
empowered to contribute fully to the charity's governance and future development.
Vi50 Extenslon Support
A significant area of activity during the yearcontinued to be supporting Ukrainian families through the
process of visa extensions. The changing immigration landscape has created uncertainty for many
families, and we have provided information. practical guidance, and individual support to help them
navigate the process.
We have also organised meetings for s￿nsorS to help them understand how best to SUPPOrt their
guest5 throvgh visa extensions and the transition to independent accommodation. We are currently
developing a guidance document for sponsors, drawing on information provided by Buckinghamshire
Council and the experiences of familie5 who have successfully completed this process.
InJ0M￿tIOn ond Signposting
The charity continues to provide uFktO-date information and signposting to services relating to
education, healthcare, employment. housing, and other areas of support. We are continuing to
develop and improve our website to ensure information remains accessible and refletts evofving
government policies and guidance affecting Ukrainian guests and sponsors.
Clothes Barn
Our Clothes Barn remains a highly valued resource for Ukrainian families. Operated by a dedicated
team of volunteers and housed in premises generously provided free of charge, it offers access to
donated and new clothing, footwear, and essential items. Families are able to browse, try on, and
select suitable items in a welcoming environment. The Clothes Barn continues to provide practical
a5515tance while helping to reduce financial pressures on families settling into life in the UK.
Financial Support: Grants and Opportunities
Educatlortol Und Extrn￿rrk￿10rGrn￿ts
The charity continues to provide grants to support children's education, wellbein& and social
inteEration. These grants have enabled access to educational resources, school activities,
extracurricular clubs, and enrichment opportunities.
We have also continued to offer 'Moving On" grants to support Ukrainian adults as they establish
independent lives within the community.
We are grateful for the support of local charitable organisatrons. particulady the Rotary Club of Princes
Risborough, whose generosity enabled two Year 7 Ukrainian students to attend an outward-bound
residential enrichment programme scheduled for July 2026.
Famify Artivities ond Social Events

In February 2026, the charity organised and supported a special commemorative service at St Mary's
Church, Princes Rislx)rough. marking the anniversary of the war in Ukraine. The se￿Ice brought
together member5 of the Ukrainian community. local residents. sponsors, community stakeholders,
and civic representatives in an act of remembrance, solidarity. and hope. The event featured a nLsmber
of moving readings. musical perfomances, and personal reflections, highlighting both the ongoing
impact of the conflict and the resilience of those affected by it. Following the service, guests attended
a reception in the church hall, where food prepared and served by members of the Ukrainian
commtjnity provided a further opportunity for fellowship and cultural exchange. The event was fully
organised and funded by the charity and was widety regarded as a great success. It has now become
an annual occasion, strengthening relationship5 between the Ukrainian and local communities while
providing an important opportunity for reflection, support, and shared understanding.
The charity maintains a visible presence at local community events and the town festivals throughout
the year. Ukrainian guests have contributed significantly to these events through the preparation and
sale of traditional food and handcrafted items, helping to celebrate Ukrèinian culture while r8i5ing
awareness and filnds for the charity.
A particular highlight of the year was the participation of three Ukrainian Buests in the International
Women's Day event organised by Princes Risborough Town Council. They shared theÉr personal
experiences of displacement, resilience. and rebuilding their lives in the UK. Their Stories
demonstrated how detemination, community support, and opportunity can enable individuals and
families to thrive despite significant adversity.
These contributions have enriched our local community, and we are proud of the confidence,
independente. and sense of belongin8 that many of our Ukrainian guests have developed durin8 their
time with us.
Financial Revlew
The overall result for the year ended 31 March 2026 was a deficFt on the general fund of £5,244.
Income was principally achieved through a combination of grants and donations. and we continue to
be immensely grateful to all who support us.
Expenditure has largely been by way of grants. bjth for Under 18s and adults as noted above.
Unrestricted funds at 31 March 2026 amounted to £3,208 with a further £1.353 being held in
restr4Cted funds. All funds are held at Naiional We5tmiiTrster Bank.
Reserves Policy
The Trustees èlm to maintain free reserves in unrestrirted funds of at least £l,IXM). The Trustees
tonsider that this level will provide sufficient funds to respond to applications for grants and ensure
that welfare support and governance costs can be covered.
Looking Ahead
The need for our support remains as pressing as ever, with the war in Ukraine conlinuing and families
facing ongoin8 challenges. We are proud of the stron& supportive community we have built together.

New trustees are appointed by the existing trustees having regard to skills, knowledge and experience
needed for effective administration of the CIO. New trustees serve for a period of three years after

Sarah Jakeman resigned as a Trustee on 3 June 2026. fimothy Halliday assumed the role of Secretary
from the same date.
The Trustees consider themselves as comprising the key management personnel of the Charity in
charge of directing and controlling its activities and runnin8 and operating the Charlty on a day to day
basis. All trustee5 give of their time f￿ ely and no trustee rernuneration was paid in the year.

The Trustees consider that neither an audit nor an independent examination is required for this
year under sertion 144 of the Charities Act 2011 as the gross income of the charity is less the
£25,IxJo.
