The Board of Trustees presents its Trustee< Report and financial statements for the year ended 31
March 2025. The financial ststements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policie5
set out in note I to the accounts and comply with the charitws constitution and the reqU1￿ments of
the Charities Act 2011.
Alms and Objertives
The objects of the Charity are twofold:
To relieve the need5 of Ukrainians 8ranted refugee ststus under the Homes for Ukraine
scheme and their hosts in Princes Ri5borough, Loosley Row. La￿Y Green, Speen and other
nearby villa8e5 in the South Buckinghamshire Chiltems area, by the provision of practical and
financial assistance, advice and supporL
The provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of
improving the conditions of life of those persons who a￿ Ukrainian refugees in this country
underthe Homesfor Ukraine scheme.
Revlew of achlevements
As we mark the third anniversary of the Ukraine to Chiltems charity, we reflect on a year of continued
support, creatlvity, and community resilience. Our mission to help Ukrainian refugees and their h05t
families in Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns remains as vital a5 ever, and our network of volunteers,
partners. and supporters continues to grow.
On 23 February 2025, we gathered for a movln8 service at St Marfs Church to commemornte the
third anniversary of the conflict and our Charitvs founding. The event brought together 8uests.
hosts. and supporters to reflect. remember, and renew our commitment to supporting those
affected by the ongoin8 war.
Regular Actlvltles and Support
Creative Conversation Meetings
Our monthly Creative Conversation sessions at The Dairy* Culverton Farm, have become
cornerstone of our community. offering a welcoming space for Ukrainians and locals to connect
through art. language, and shared experiences. These meetings are held on the last Saturday of each
month, from 1-3pm.
Moker and Fixer Workshops
On the third Sundayof every month. also atThe Dairy. we host Makerand Fixer sessions. These
hands-on gatherings bring together people of all ages to build, repair. and create strengthening
practical skills and friend%hips alike.
Fireside Chot & Culturt71 Presentations
We were delighted to partner with the Chiltern Open Air Museum for a fireside chat and
presentation exploring different cultures and what they mean to those now living in England.
We also supported the production of a Short Ukrainian film and held the premierat Pinewood Studio5.
These events have helped foster understanding, celebrate diversity, and share personal stories within
our wider community.

Prartical Help and Guldance
We have extended our Trustees to include of our Ukrainian guests. We feel strongly that they
should have an active Say in how we manage this, their charity- Their knowledge of the most pressing
Issues affecting Ukrainian5 and how we can best SUPPOrt them is invaluable.
Viso Extensions and Support
This year. we have provided significant assistsnce to families navigating the complex process of
extending visas. Our team has offered Buidan￿, infomiation. and hands-on help to ensure that
Ukrainian guests can remain safe and settled in the UK.
Slgnposting ond Information
We offer up-to-date information and signpostin8 to seTvices, helping families access education,
healthcare, employment, and other essential support. To aid in th55 we are working on improving
our current webslte to make it more accessible.
Clothes 8arn
Our Clothes Barn. run by a team of volunteers. continues to provide essential clothin8 and supplies
to families in need, ensuring that everyone has acce55 to seasonal and sultable attire. The barn, use
of which is generously donated free of charge. provides a space for donated and new items of
clothing to be collected, tried on and distributed among Ukrainian familie5.
Flnanclal Support: Grants and Opportunltles
Educotionol ond Extmcurriculor Grants
We have awarded grants to help children access educational resources and extracurrlcular activitles,
supporting their learning, wellbeing. and inte8ration into local schoo15 and clubs. We have also
continued to offer'moving on, 8rants to our adult Ukrainian community.
Short Film Pmjett
A highlight of the year was helplng a group of young Ukrainians brin8 their short film to market,
culminatin8 in a premiere at Pinewood Studios. This project showcased their talent and resilience,
and gave our community a powerful platform for storytelling.
Family Actlvltles and Sodal Events
Kop Hill Climb & Soap 8ox Challenge
At the Kop Hill Climb event, the soap box challenge- includin8 months of building and a weekend of
racin8, is alway5 a huge success bringing together Ukrainian and English families for teamwork,
reativlty, and fun.
Flnandal Revlew
The overall result for the year ended 31 March 2025 was è defictt on the general fund of £1,507.
Income was achieved through a combination of grants. donations and gift aid claims. and we are
immensely grateful to all who have supported us.
Expenditure has largely been by way of 8rants. both for Under 18s and adults as noted above.
Unrestrirted fvnds at 31 March 2025 amounted to £8.452 with a further £878 being held in the
restricted fund. All funds are held at National Westminster Bank.

Reserves Policy
The Trustees aim to maintain free reserves in unrestricted fund5 of at Seast £l.OLKI. The Trustees
consider that this level will provide sufficient funds to respond to applications for grants and ensure
that welfare support and governance costs can be covered.
Looking Ahead
The need for our support remains as pre5sin8 as ever. with the war in Ukraine continuing and families
facing ongoing challenges. We are proud of the stron& supportive community we have built together,
and we remain committed to providing practical help, creative opportunities. and a warm welcome to

charity on 31 Au8USt 2022 and governed by Its Constitution.

Mrs Louise Brooks-usher ￿Igned as a Trustee on 21 Novernber 2024.
His Honour Christopher Tyrer DL was reappointed as a Trustee on 31 August 2024 and
resigned a5 a Trustee on 20 February 2025.
Mrs Elizabeth Thomas-Davies was reappointed as a Trustee on 31 August 2024 for a period of
3 years. Mr5 Catherine Collet-Fenson resigned as a Trustee following the conclusion of her
term of office on 30 August 2025.
Mr5 Caroline Gulliver was reappointed as a Tmstee on 31 August 2025 for a period of 3 years
New trustees are appointed by the existing trustees having regard to skills. knowledge and experience
needed for effective administration of the CIO. New trustees serve for a period of three years after
which they may put themselves forward for re-appointment.
Mrs Ola Cross and Mrs Marie Louise Morley were appointed at a meeting of the Trustees on
3 November 2022 for a period of 3 years. Mrs Ola Cross resigned as a Trustee on 30September
2024.
Mrs Olena Boboshko-Harbuz V•WS appointed at a meeting of the Trustee5 on 2 October 2024
for a period of 3 years.

Mrs Nataliia Zagrebelna and Rev Susan Hughes were appointed at a meeting of the Trustee5
on 20 February 2025 fora period of 3years.
The Trusiees consider themselves as comprising the key management personnel of the Charity in
charge of direrting and controlling its activities and running and operating the Charity on a day to day
basis. All trustees give of theii time freely and no trustee remuneration was paid in the year.
The Trustees consider that neither an audit nor an Independent examlnation is required for this
year under section 144 of the Charities Att 2011 as the gross income of the charity is less the
£25,OCX).
