The Trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 31[st] March 2024.

## **STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT**
## **Governing Document and Constitution**
The Charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
The Charity is governed by its Constitution which sets out the objects and powers of the charity and governs the actions of the Trustees.
It was as registered as a charity with the Charity Commission on 30[th] August 2022.
## **Trustees recruitment and appointment**
The Charity must have a least 3 Trustees with a maximum number of 12.
Apart from the first Trustees, every Trustee must be appointed by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the Trustees, and are expected to serve a minimum of three years from date of appointment.
In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the existing Trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for effective administration of the Charity.
## **OBJECTIVES**
The objects of the CIO are for public benefit:
1. to advance in life and relieve the needs of young people living in Oldham through;
- a. The Provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social, welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life;
2. The prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship in Bangladesh by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare and all necessary support designed to enable Individuals to generate sustainable income and be self-sufficient.

## **ACTIVITIES, ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE**
## **Activities undertaken for public benefit include:**
The Charity emerged from the pandemic with renewed focus.
Our commitment to mentoring young people is at the core of our efforts. Through personalized guidance and support, we aim to equip them with the tools they need to navigate life's challenges successfully. Additionally, our workshops cater to the needs of all young people, providing them with opportunities for personal growth, skillbuilding, and empowerment. We also conduct fitness sessions tailored to the diverse needs of our community, promoting physical health and mental well-being for all participants.
Furthermore, we actively engage the community through various sporting activities, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among young people from all walks of life. As part of our future plans, we aspire to establish a dedicated provision for young people, such as a youth centre, open every weekend. This centre will serve as a hub for educational, recreational, and social activities, catering to the diverse needs and interests of the youth in our community. To support these endeavours, we are exploring funding opportunities through Sport England and Action Together. Additionally, we plan to partner with other organizations, such as ABL Health in Oldham, who have already completed successful projects with Ayaan Foundation. For instance, ABL Health has collaborated with us to deliver free fitness classes for all participants and self-defence classes for children aged 6-11.
## **PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT**
The Trustees consider that they have complied with Section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 with regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission.
## **RESERVES POLICY**
It is the policy of the Trustees to maintain reserves at levels to cover administrative and general running costs for a period of three months. The policy will be reviewed annually by the Trustees.

**INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF**
## **AYAAN FOUNDATION – (‘the CIO”)**
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (the “CIO”) for the year ended 31[st] March 2024.
## **Responsibilities and basis of report**
As the charity trustees of the CIO you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the CIO’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.
## **Independent examiner's statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
1. accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
2. the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
