## 1. General Details

## 2. Charity Objectives 

Blue Skies Hub for Children and Young People exists to provide support, care, and educational opportunities to disadvantaged families globally. The charity’s mission is to create equal access to education, care, and essential resources for children and families facing hardship, including those with no recourse to public funds. The charity fulfils its purpose through: - Offering childcare scholarships to families in need - Providing apprenticeships to young people to gain practical skills and experience - Delivering community engagement programmes for children and parents - Supporting families abroad with food, clothing, and financial aid - Partnering with local and international organisations to extend impact 

## 3. Activities and Achievements (August 2022 – March 2023) 

This was the foundation year for Blue Skies Hub for Children and Young People following its registration on 26 August 2022. During this initial period, the charity focused on establishing its structure, governance framework, and core objectives. Key activities included the creation of safeguarding, equality, and operational policies, as well as initial outreach planning and networking with potential partners. Some informal community support was provided through trustee-led initiatives, primarily aimed at preparing for future programmes. 

## 4. Financial Review 

During this reporting year, Blue Skies Hub for Children and Young People was entirely self-funded by trustees and volunteers. No external income was received during this period, and no paid staff were employed. Expenditure during the period related mainly to administrative setup costs and small community engagement activities undertaken by trustees. The trustees are committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial matters and plan to build financial reserves through future fundraising and grant applications. 

## 5. Structure, Governance and Management 

Blue Skies Hub for Children and Young People is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees who meet monthly to review progress, monitor activities, and make key decisions. The charity operates under its constitution and adheres to all relevant Charity Commission requirements. The trustees have developed and adopted key organisational policies, including: - Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy - Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy - Health and Safety Policy - Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy - Financial Management Policy - Risk Management and Volunteer Policy The trustees are committed to ensuring that the charity operates with integrity, transparency, and compliance at all times. 

## 6. Plans for the Next Year (April 2023 – March 2024) 

In the upcoming year, Blue Skies Hub for Children and Young People aims to expand its community presence and begin delivering programmes that align with its mission. Planned activities include: - Developing and launching community engagement projects - Establishing partnerships to support disadvantaged families - Preparing for international outreach and humanitarian support initiatives - Hosting fundraising events to secure future sustainability
