The ministerial team in Faithouse
has the responsibility of
co-operating with the pastors.

The Faithouse leadership team is
committed to enabling as many
people as possible to worship at our
church and to become part of our
community at Faithouse Church.
The leadership team maintains an
overview of worship throughout the
community and makes suggestions
on how our services can involve the
many groups that live within our
community. Our services and
worship put faith into practice
through prayer, scripture and
music.
When planning our activities for the
year, the pastors and the ministers
have considered the Commission’s
guidance on public benefit and, in
particular, the specific guidance on
charities for the advancement of
religion. In particular, we try to
enable ordinary people to live out
their faith as part of our
Northampton Community through:
Worship, prayer retreats, music
events; learning about the gospel;
and developing their knowledge and
trust in Jesus.

Faithouse Church offers a range of
services during the week and over
the course of the year that our
community find both beneficial and
spiritually fulfilling. For example, we
have weekly prayers on
Wednesdays that offer people a
refreshing place to pray individually
and collectively to enhance their
walk with God and increase
fellowship with the community.
We offer regular services every
Sunday as well as on Friday for any
members or new comers.
As a community church we often
celebrate significant events
collectively, this includes weddings
and this period we had one wedding
for members of the church.
We often celebrate other significant
events. Our significant celebration
this year is that we marked our
10th anniversary since the church
was started.
Prayer Retreats
Faithouse church hosts an annual
retreat where members and those
in the community are welcome to
join for quiet uninterrupted prayer
and fellowship. The church will
often fund those who are unable to
attend the retreat by making a
donation. Often this is made to new
members of the church or any other
external parties. This ensures that
members of the community that
may be unable to meet the costs of
the retreat can also attend along
with everyone else.
Mission and Evangelism| |---|---|---| Helping those in need is a demonstration of our faith. As a church we donate to either individuals in the church, members of the community and other charities within Northampton looking after the homeless for example, Shine Concepts. Combined, this generates our Christmas project. While individuals in the church contribute to the Christmas project, we then combine these donations with general church income (tithes and offerings) to make our complete benevolence donations for the community. The church often conducts evangelism projects within the community in Northampton to share more about Jesus and his love. This will often involve us sharing one page documents with more information about the Christian faith as well as inviting individuals to join our community. Music Events: To reach out to our Northampton community, Faithouse church donated to the Perfect Love movement, an organisation that hosts a free music event in which all were welcome in December 2023. This event positively impacted many people in Northampton and other towns as they uplifted by the music, prayer and dance shared. The church contributed to this event to the benefit of the wider community. ## **Financial Review** |Review of the charity’s
financial position at the
end of the period|Para 1.21|Total receipts on unrestricted
donations was £31 924,75.
Restricted donations totalled £8,
953.43 and these are detailed in
the Financial Statements.
The net result for the year was an
excess of receipts over payments of
£4 982.29 on unrestricted funds.
As a charity we have agreed to
make transfers from the
unrestricted funds to fund any of
the restricted funds for special
programs during the year like the
Anniversary, Christmas Project,
Perfect Love and Retreats.
As a result of this, the Anniversary,
Christmas Project, Perfect Love and
Retreats funds do not have a
carried forward balance as they are
usually in deficit. The excess to
cover the costs of these is provided
from unrestricted funds. However,
the church opened a new bank
account that is used to deposit
funds for the building project.
These funds were in excess at the
end of the period as this is an
ongoing saving project.
Adding bank balances brought
forward at the beginning of the
year, the balances carried forward
at 31st March 2024 totalled
£16,295.15 From this balance £11
181.15 is the bank account used to
maintain the building fund
donations.
The unrestricted fund balance of
£4,982.29 was incurred after taking
into account all the transfers from
unrestricted funds to fund the other
projects in deficit (Anniversary,
Christmas Project, Perfect Love,
Retreats).
Prayer Retreats| |---|---|---| |||Our receipts and payments
statements reflect that in the
period, the church had income from
members of £4,664 in total to cover
the retreat. This income was
allocated accordingly. For members
that couldn’t afford to pay on their
own and for other retreat costs
associated with hiring an external
venue, additional funding for this is
also provided from unrestricted
funds.
The statement of assets and
liabilities also reflects advances
payments to retreat centres for the
following financial year.
Any member advance payments are
also reflected separately to ensure
accurate tracking of direct member
contributions.
Current Assets
Member loans are for any advance
payments made directly to
members which they have
committed to repay following an
instalment plan agreed by the
church leadership and trustee
members. These loans reduced as
members continued to pay
outstanding amounts over the
period.
External Loan Receivable
Faithouse provided a loan to an
external party, Kingsville Church in
the period ending March 2023. This
loan was fully paid in the period and
no external loans were made in the

Our reserves policy as a church is
based on our agreement to
maintain 3 months of running
expenses (this is an average of
£6000 as the minimum for our
reserves - this gives us a period of
time to meet our bills if there was
an emergency or a sudden sharp
reduction in income from tithes and
