The charity ams to put on 3 to 4 perfomiances each year. The Trustees
consider these perfO￿nan￿ to satisfy the charities public benefft
obligattons contaned wfhin the Charity C¢)mmission's guidance in the
following ways:

Shakespeare to Children's Panlomlme. The am is to ensure that

CATS preserrted four pubtbc perf0M￿nceS during the current financial
year.

achievements of tho charity
during the year
he Vicar of Dibtef ran forfour nights during October 20YJ and w85
perfonned at The Cheadle Academy Theatre. It was directed by lan
Wood. The produdion drew 2 combined audience of 504 wlth numbers
incre￿n9 as word spread of the quality ofthe production. Thls qualty
was recognlsÉd by CATS being nominated for and winning the NODA
award for Best Drama in Area 3. The produclion was only made possible
by th6 r￿lpt of a grant ftom UKSPF.
The annua] pantoffime was Sleeping Beauty arKI VRS held in February
2024 at Btshop R￿je SchcK)l. It was diretaed by Jason Greenwood and
featured members of CATS as well as dan￿ routines perfonned by the
VMenn8 Shelley Dance Group. Attendance for the four nlghts was 362.
'Dld( Whitttngton. was a ¢>)ntlnuation of CATS dlversification Into'one
night only, Adutt Panto. li was stagad at the Guild Hall and was agaln
dlre(*ed by Jason Greenvnxl. It proved once tyaln very popular wbth an
audienca of more than 120.
In July 2024 CATS revlsited Shakespeare and presented 'Rom80 &
Julief. The productton was held 'in tha round. in a rnarquea erected
within th8 tennls court compound on Tean Road Recreation Ground,
CATS were extremgly grateful for th8 support of Ch88dle Town Coundl
In allowing us to use this Spa￿ free of charge. The play w85 directed by
Rlch Gllbert. his fjrsl time as direc*or, and was roimaginad to critical
acclaim agalnst the backdrop ofthe Rus35an Rewlufion. The produdlon
W8s attended by 186 people.
CATS tho attended and supported $8veral communty events during thè
finandal year inctuding Cheadle Camival Parade and a stall at the Party
In The Park evant at the beginning of August 2024.
