## **Trustees Annual Report. June 2026**

Charity Name: POWER UP Mentor Foundation

Registered Office: 5 Colemeadow Road, Redditch, Worcestershire; B98 9PB

Charity Registration Number: 1200077

## **1.0 Objectives & Activities**

The Power Up Mentor Foundation provides invaluable mentorship to young individuals aged 12 to 18 years. Our core initiative revolves around providing professional and qualified mentors with IOL status from the local business community. These mentors offer guidance, support, and expertise to students in various schools and colleges aiming to nurture their skills and realise their potential, which embraces the core message, “Helping young people succeed in school, work and life.” The scheme has and will remain completely mentee centric for the local communities, which is a core value of the trustees, its behaviours, and activities.

This shall be achieved by offering one-to-one mentoring sessions within the recognised protocols of safeguarding, wellbeing, and DBS procedures. The ClO shall operate in England and Wales. Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the ClO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.

## **2.0 Achievements & Performance**

The charity and the trustees were presented with several challenges during the period fundamentally caused by significant personal changes in the organisation, all for legitimate reasons; retirements, capacity and personal circumstances meant that the leadership, focus, measurements, and general management was affected. The dayto-day mentoring process continued with the mentors and mentees at the designated schools, which in some respect is a true sign of the commitment from the operation but activities were not recorded.

## **2.1 The Future Plans**

Organisational changes were made to get the scheme back on track towards the latter end of the year. New trustees were appointed together with a suggested change in organisational structure and is now work in progress for the new team.

## **3.0 Structure, Governance and Management**

The trustees acknowledged that whilst the mentoring process was continuing, significant changes were required. A new structure was proposed during the period, and a recruitment process was undertaken. The constitution was reviewed and remained unchanged, operating in the age groups of 12- 18 years in England and Wales.
