The IrLJsleès prèsent their annual report with the financial slalements ol the charity lor the year ended 31
March 2024. The financial slaiements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies sel
out In note 1 to the ac¢ounts and comply wilh the charity's trust deed, the Charities Aci 2011 and
Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Stalement of Recommended Practice applicable to chaiilies
preparing Iheir accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic ol Ireland IFRS 1021 (second edition October 20191 Icharity SORP IFRS 1021 Revised).
Objectives and activities for the public benefit
Our aims and objectives
The aims and objects ol ihe charity are as lollows:_
I l To advance the Christian faith worldwide lor the benclit ol the public through producing and delivering
Christian mossages ai churches, seminars, public ¢elebralion of religious leslivals and any other Christian
gathering an¢ opportunities lor networking Ifellow5hip, discussion and working together) among establlshed
as well as emerging churches and church leaders.
21 To advance the education ol the pupils at Bethlehem Bible College in Bethlehem, by assisting in ihe
provision ol facilities lor education al the College provided either in person or online through provision ol
funds and grants to the College for such purposes.
31 For the public benefit io promote the education lincluding language and leadership Irainingl ol people
worldwide in such ways as the charity Iruslees think fit, including by awarding lo such person's
scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable al Bethlehem Bible College.
41 The prevention or relief ol poverty in Israel and the Occupied Falestinian Territories by providing
humanitarian grants to Bethlehem Bible College who will then distribute Ihe funds to those suffering from
financial hardship towards the following..
al Generally paying lor items and services such as food, medicine, utility bills or medical treatment., and
bl For payment of luilion fees, cost ol èyaminalions or other expenses connected wilh vocational training ol
students who lace financial diff iculties and otherwise will not be able lo complete their education al
Bethlehem Bible college.
The objectives ol the charity are sel lo reflect its community aims. Each year the trustees review the
chaiily's obieclives and activities lo ensure Ihey continue 10 rellecl the aims ol the charity. In carrying out
this review the trustees have considered the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benelrt and
its 5upplemenlary public guidance on the advancement ol religitsn for ihe public benelrt.

Financial review
The attached financial statements summarise the charity's transactions for the year ended 31 March 2024.

£3,037 12023.. £81.818 surplus). Tota15 funds al the year-end was £78,781 12023. £81.8181, made up ol
unrestricted funds 01 £23,57012023.. £6,450) and restricted funds of £55,211 12023.. £75,3681.
Prlncipal f unding Sources
The charity's principal sources of funding are from gifts and donations.
Reserves policy
It is the policy ol Ihe charity to maintain unrestricted funds al a level which equates lo approximately Melve
months unrestricted expenditure. This provides sufficient lund5 to cover fflanagemenl, adminislralion, and
support costs.
Risk management
The trustees actively review the major risks which the charity laces on a regular basis and believe that
maintaining unrestricted reserves at current levels. combined with an annual review ol the controls over key
financial systems, will provide sufficient resources in the event ol adverse conditions. The Iruslees have also
examined other operational and business risks laced by the charity and confirm that they have established
systems to miligale the significant risks.
Structure, governance and management
Governing document
Bethlehem Development Trust is an unincorporated public benefit entity and was eslablished in England under a
trust deed dated 28 May 2021 , as amended by a resolution dated 1 Augusl 2022. 11 became a registered charity
on 15 August 2022.
Recruitment and appointment of Irustees
The trust deed ol the charity requires that there musl be al least 3 trustees Aparl Irom the first trustees every
Iruslee must be appointed lor a term 013 years by a resolution of the trustees passed at a special meeting (held
before or after an ordinary meetingl. The board ol Irustee5 is aulhorised lo appoint new trustees lo lill vacancies
arising through resignation or death ol an existing trustee. Trustees have thè right to co-opt members lo serve as
Iru5tees between special rneetings.
Trustee induction
The trustees receive document5 relating lo the rules and obligations ol Iruslees as sel out by the Charity
Commission and are supported appropriately.
Organisalional structure
There is a chairpeTSOn and other trustees. These officers and the other Iruslees were appointed Dn 15 August
2022 and serve lor 3 years al a time.
Going concern
Albeil, with the uncertainly ol Ihe region ol Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territories, there is still much need lor
funds lor the sUPPOrt of our work. There is no reason lo believe that this need is not required lor the foreseeable
lulure.

Trustees, responsibilities in relation to the financlal statements
The charity Iruslees are responsible for preparing a trustees, annual report and financial statefftenls in
accordance with applicable law and Unilod Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Practice).
The law applicable lo charities in England and Wales requires the charity Iruslees lo prepare financial slalemenls
for each year which give a true and lair view ol thÈ slate of allairs ol the ¢harily and ol the incoming resources
and application of resources, ol the charity lor that period. In preparing the financial slalemenls. the Iruslees are
required lo..

observe the methods and principles in Ihe applicable Charities SORP..
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.,
stale whether applicable accounting standards have been lollowed, subject lo any material departures
disclosed and explained in the financial slaternenls.,
prepare the financial slalemenls on the going concern basis unless il is inappropriate to presume that the
charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible lor keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accLJracy at
any lime the financial position ol the charity and to enable them lo eysure that Ihe financial slalements comply
with the Charities Act 2011, the applicable charities IAccounls and Reportsl Regulations, and the provisions of
the Trust deed They are also iesponsible lor safeguarding the assels ol the charity and taking reasonable steps
lor the prevention and detection ol fraud and other irregularities.
The trustees are responsible lor the maintenance and integrity ol the charity and financial information included o
the charity's website. Legislation in the Uniled Kingdom governing the preparalion and disseminalion ol financial

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection
with the examinalion which give rne reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect=
