The trustees present their report and accounts for period 06/04/2023 - 05/04/2024 

## **Structure, Governance, and Management** 

Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - UK (the "Charity") was principally established to support animal welfare initiatives including rescuing and rehoming stray cats and dogs. The Charity is governed by its constitution and is managed by a Board of Trustees. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the provisions set out in the constitution. 

The Charity is a UK-registered charitable organization, and its activities are carried out in compliance with the laws and regulations governing charities in England and Wales. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

The Charity’s objectives are to: 

- Promote the ethical treatment of animals in Beirut, Lebanon. 

- Provide support to organizations engaged in animal rescue, rehabilitation, and advocacy. 

- Raise awareness and education about animal welfare issues. 

We report in the period 06/04/2023 - 05/04/2024, there were no transactions or activities conducted by the Charity. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

During the year, the Charity did not engage in any financial activities, fundraising, or expenditures. However, the trustees continue to explore opportunities to advance the Charity’s objectives in future periods. 

## **Financial Review** 

The Charity had no financial transactions during the year. There was no income, expenditure, or movement in funds. 

## **Reserves Policy** 



As there were no transactions during the year, the Charity does not currently hold any reserves. The trustees will establish a reserves policy when financial activities commence. 

## **Plans for the Future** 

The trustees aim to initiate fundraising efforts and collaborative partnerships in the next financial year to support the Charity’s objectives. A focus will be placed on securing grants and donations to enable programmatic activities. 

## **Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities** 

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards. The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission.

As the Charity had no financial transactions during the period, no independent examination or audit was required under the Charities Act 2011.
