PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT, ADVICE AND EDUCATION, INCLUDING COFFEE MORNINGS, WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS AND INFORMATION ON WELFARE BENEFITS, ADVOCACY AND ASSISTANCE.B. PROMOTING AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING AMONGST THE PUBLIC OF SICKLE CELL AND THALASSEMIA, INCLUDING PARTNERING WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS WITH SIMILAR AIMS TO REACH A WIDER AUDIENCE.C. FACILITATING SCREENING PROGRAMS FOR PREGNANT WOMEN TO DETERMINE WHETHER THEY ARE A CARRIER OF SICKLE CELL OR THALASSAEMIA.D. THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS.

**Activities:** The charity provides support for those directly and indirectly affected by Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia in Leicester,Leicestershire and Rutland. This is achieved via a number of initiatives such as monthly coffee mornings, quarterly support group meetings, workshops, training days, research participation, educational forums, outreach, children-led initiatives and  bespoke client programmes
