The Unf(ed Kingdom Neurointerventional Group IUKNGI represents Speaalist Doctors who perfomi minimally
invasive operations on the brain, spine, head and neck blood vessels. Their objective is to provide effective, safe
and sustainable interventional neuroTadiology.
In seth'ng objectives and planning for activities. the Trustees have given due consideration to general guidance
published by the Charity Commi$$i¢)n relaling to public benefil. induding the guidan￿ 'Publi¢ Benefit.. running a
charity IPB21'.
The Charity has the following objectives. to..
Promote high standard5 in the dinical practice of Neuroinlervenlion throughout the UK..
Promote the place of NeuroinleNenlion lalso known as Inletventional Neuroradiology IINRII as a core
discipline of the clinical neurosciences.,
Advise and eollaborale wth regulatory and professional bodies regardlng development of guidelines and
standards for the prartice of interventional neuroradiology including diagno$b'¢ neuroradiology relevant lo
INR practice Iwhich includes standards for facililies. delivery of Service and professional abililiesl.,
Support the clinical practice and continuing professional development of UK Neuroinlerventionists,.

each financial which give a tnje and fair view of the state of affairs of the Charity and of its incoming resources

1.1 Basis of praparation of financial statemants
The financAal statements have been prepared in accordance wih the Charits"e5 SORP IFRS 1021
Accounting and Reporting by Charities." Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo Charities
preparing their accounts in a¢¢ordan¢e the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021. the Financial Reporbng Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Charities Act 2011.
The financial statements have been prepared to give a Irue and fairf wew and have departed from
the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulab"ons 2008 only lo the extent reqUI￿d lo provide a Irue
and fai¢ view. This departure has involved followng the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 published in
Odober 2019 rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement ol Recommended
Practice effective from 1 April 2005 vthich has since been withdrawn.
UK Neuroinlervenlional Group meets the definib.on of a public benefit enlty under FRS 102. Assets
nd liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unle88 Othemise stsled in

Charity's objectives, as well as any asswated support cLJsts.

1.7 Liabilities and provisions
Liabilities are recognised when there is an obligation at the Balano Sheet date as a result of a past
event. il is probable that a transfer of economic benefil wll be required in settlement, and the amount
of the settlement can be estimated reliably.
Liabilities are recognised at the amount that the Charity anticipates il will pay to settle the debt or the
amount il has received as advanced payments for the goods or service5 11 mu51 provide.
Provisions are measured at the best estimate of the amounts required to settle the obligation. Where
the effect of the time value of money is material, the provision is based on the present value of those
amounts, discounted at the pr&tax discount rate that reflects the risks specific to the liability. The
unwinding of the discount is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities as a finance cost.
1.8 Flnanclal Instruments
The Charity only has financial a$$et$ and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial
instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently
measured at their settlement value.
1.9 Fund a¢¢ountlng
General funds are unreslricled fvnds which are available lor use at Ihe discrets'on of the Trustees in
furtherance of the general objectwes of the Charity and which have not been designated for other
purposes.
Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been set aside by the Twslees for particular
purposes. The aim and use of each design*e(1 fvnd is sel out in the notes lo the financial
slatemenls.
