2023 Performance and achievements (part year)

We are only in the third quarter of 2023, the trend of increasing demand, continues unabated. To date(up to August 2023), we have provided to 1447 households made 183 home deliveries, supporting and helping to feed 2,948 individuals, of whom 885 were children. Experience has shown a marked increase in demand in the winter months, so we expect this year’s figures to exceed those of 2022. We will need to call on our financial resources to meet this anticipated increased likely demand.

In 2023 we purchased a freezer to increase the range of food we can provide, to our clients. We also were able to provide some support for the increase in domestic fuel costs. This we were able to provide with a link up with a partner charity The Adur East Lions.

We belong and are participating members of the Adur and Worthing Food Network. We are members of Community Works, this organisation works on behalf of Adur and Worthing Council to support charities, not-for-profit and community groups across Worthing and Adur.
